VC vs RWC
Agreed, @CodeMage , i’ve seen some games (playing a pirate based one more) that has a direct 1:1 correlation between the in-game currency and real money. even has a toggle to see the VC numbers and the real cost. 999 coins or $9.99. That one even has the ability to earn the VC just by playing the game…

An issue that could come up for a company seeking to maximize their income is that the model shown there would mean the currency used impacts the value of money the company earns.
€9,99 =/= £9.99 =/= $9.99 (examples).

A company can determine what the RWC cost is for a given VC and hide it with inflated numbers and ‘bonus’ for larger purchases. 12000 giblets for only $20! Spend $40 and get 24000 giblets plus 2.5% more!!! That super worthless cosmetic blue thingey in the store is only 12125 giblets for a limited time. Buy it before it’s gone!

I am getting into an off-topic rant, so best to just stop while i’m behind . VC can be handled well. So far, i’ve not seen many examples of them and I do not believe the version in Conan is one of them.
