It could. I hope they still introduce internal walls and more thematic decor.

Thank you for reaching out to us.
By going to the Bazaar, not only can you see the aspect of the set, but also by clicking it you can get more details of the pieces that are being sold within.
We understand your dissatisfaction in the sense that the set fails to meet your expectactions and we’re sorry to hear it, however we cannot assist you with a refund following the reason you’ve presented us

This is false.
The building set in question is different from the norm in that all it’s pieces are foundation sized blocks, the bazaar page makes no mention of this nor do the preview images imply such a thing.
So again: i’m asking for a refund as the purchased product does not reflect what I expected to receive, AT ALL. Especially when compared to previously offered building packs.
And theirs:
We comprehend your point, but please understand that we nonetheless cannot proceed with a refund for the referred item.
We will escalate your feedback to our dedicated team in regards to the Bazaar and the pictures, in hopes that they can analyze it.
Thank you for your valuable feedback.
Continuation of a pleasant week.
In other words: they recognize it’s effectively false advertising but they’re not going to do anything.
Given it’s overall importance to the Hyborian setting and the story of CE, it’s more surprising we haven’t gotten a Stygian inspired set yet.

Yeah, I figured you’d get a similar reply. They’re pretty much telling us to pound salt and deal with it. I get the feeling they don’t even have a means of refunding so they’re throwing out canned responses. It’s a lot easier to say “no” than “we don’t know how to do that.”

Yeah i saw that in the wiki that now has this chapter’s bazaar items listed. I did see there are some placeables for it coming this chapter but not additional pieces.
I decided I’m going to wait to see if it gets more fleshed out. I think it would be a great alternative option to the arena set but the arena set has more flexibility and function with the same basic feel. I would prefer to use something like this set but the limited variety of pieces is just too limiting. I will wait to spend my coin on the aesir set which is looking very nice…maybe the crafting benches (I assume the next two large sets will be the aesir building kit (probably the 3rd month release to maximize impulse buys prior) and the alternative aesir blacksmith and turanian stove set with the two outfits (assume the 2nd month).

I hope you at least got a kiss and a towel.
That is absolutely nothing but wrong. And we as the people paying their pay checks need to escalate this our selves.

I’d assume Aesir set is similar pricing. Not many pieces in that also. It does look nice though.

Oof. Don’t mention that to the lady in the other thread. Nobody wants Stygian themed items according to her.
Bless her.

Thats the shame… i almost cant build anything at EL with t3 fitting the desert\sand atmosphere.
Most of T3 too dark and grim, good only for rocks and mountains (or maybe dark forests).
Others T3 too white and fancy -like marble etc.
I wouldn’t mind Stygian, however it does seem like we got an awful lot of Stygian stuff. It is kinda funny we don’t have a build set by now. They even gave us a made up yamatai set. Not complaining though. I like the yamatai set.

this set had so much potential, but its pretty much unusable as far as building goes. its definitely not what i thought i was purchasing, thats for sure. i feel very mislead and a bit swindled. im reluctant to spend any more cash on the bazaar after this purchase. i saw that they updated photos now, but didnt bother fixing the pieces to be regular walls/doors/frames/ceilings. the building set is wack, and was a waste of money.
I actually like the look of the metal grates for those ceiling pieces…It would be even cooler if you could open them and jump down to the level below. But the look is pretty cool. It could double as a kind of sewer grate above running water. Some related prison and torture devices to augment the dungeon would be fantastic (shackles, stretching racks, iron maidens, where you could “store” captured thralls) and perhaps some decorative shackles with skeletons hanging on them, would really round out the set.
I don’t mind the basic Reinforced Stone (Tier 3) set for that … it’s not too dark. It looks not too bad, imho, even though it doesn’t get much attention.
So apparently the preview images got updated according to patch notes. Not at home to see, but I assume we’re still not getting a refund for being tricked by the first preview pics.

My response:
So as I understand, you confirm that there is obviously a misleading factor to the preview pics, enough to “escalate” the issue, yet you still think a refund request is NOT valid? That seems a bit dishonest. Do you even have the ability to refund, or is this an excuse to avoid a loophole in the system that makes it so refunds can’t even be given? I find it very frustrating, as well as suspicious. Coupled with all the bugs introduced into this update, not only am I losing my years of work for building on faulty structures, now I’m getting my money taken away as well? Surely you can see the problem here I hope?

I don’t build anything square. This has zero functionality for me. Money wasted.

I had the same generic response to my refund request. The lack of transparency feels so shady. I’ve played this game for a LONG time, and I’ve spent a fair amount of $ in the bazaar since it opened. This has really soured the experience and my decent opinion of Funcom. I can overlook the bugs and patch errors, thralls and buildings vanishing etc… but feeling as if i’ve been blatantly deceived into purchasing a set that i cannot functionally use, then told to suck grapes is not cool.

To note, they may not be able to refund at the level that responds.
In many shops, refunds require a manager.
Hence they are escalating it.
My thoughts exactly. Those pieces are kinda difficult to use as ceilings due to the thickness - so maybe they could be used as floors instead.
Oh I’m sure ceiling tiles and what ever else is missing will be in a separate set.
