Lost hours worth of gear and resources falling through world death

Died inside a mountain while at the very top. My death message was, You died by falling through the world,!
My corpse was lost inside the mountain causing me lose a good 100hrs worth of farmed gear, weapons, and thousands of building supplies. I was trying to lay a foundation while standing at the top. Any chances of getting my gear back? This is ridiculous
