OK so while playing this weekend some very casual and relaxing PVE I got to thinking about different schools of magic. In the game you got the Giant Kings, the lizardmen, Stygian (mek-Mowhatever), and the Kirak (sp) dude magics but the Witch Queen has a distinct style of her own and I’m wondering how to play this could be used to introduce other spells into the game.
I mean really there is plenty of in game opportunity to get a huge amount of spells in the game. I hope they take it before the age ends.
Anyways just a babbling away but perhaps other can chyme in and discuss.
Sorcery isn’t divided into “schools”, each of the examples you gave draw their powers from various patrons and sources.
The Witch Queen is a priestess of Dagon, her powers stem from the father of the Deep Ones.
The giant kings and later Acheronians are an alien race, wielding alien powers. They also commune with, and revere a multitude of gods for their powers.
The serpent-men are children of Set, and as such harness his powers alongside ancient and unknown to human knowledge.
Stygians and Mek-Kamoses scrounge their powers from several sources, remnants of Acheronian knowledge, lost Khari powers, and of course Set as well.
