Major Issue - XP - Cant gain more than one level from a single source of XP

Game mode: Single Player and Online Private
Type of issue: XP Bug
Server type: PVP and PVE
Region: US-East

This started occurring after the major 2.3 update.

Gaining an amount of XP that would normally give you multiple levels instead only gives you a single level and 99% XP to the next level.

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

  1. Set yourself to level 1
  2. Set your overall and kill XP to x10
  3. Kill a croc or something
  4. You will be level 2 with 99% XP to the next level

This strikes me as something that would get entered, and subsequently flagged, as “Not a Bug”.

That would be foolish considering private servers do XP-related events all the time which no one would turn out to do for at most 1.99 levels.

In order for us to understand this issue better we will need some additional information.
Are you using any in game mods?
Also we just released a hotfix for Conan Exiles (2.3.1) so if you did not update the game, please do so and let us know if the issue persists.

for me it was always like this in solo as in multiplayer, with or without mod, but I never bothered with it and I never saw any mod that removed this limitation

Thanks for getting back to me.
This issue occurs in both vanilla and modded game instances.
The 2.3.1 hotfix did not correct this.

Then its not a new problem, its just a problem. This is a massive pain for admins looking to hand out large chunks of XP for new players and it should be corrected.

You realize that a Pippi XP kit is subject to the same issue I’m reporting here right?

Right… Because you’re talking about an entirely different mechanic. There are use-cases for wanting to give a set amount of XP as opposed to a set number of levels.
