is there a maximum amount of chars per account which can be created? Are player kicked from a server after a while of beeing inactive? How is prevented that server are not full of inactive chars?
Does it make sense to limit the chars - maybe 5 - and to force to delete older chars before creating new ones?

You can create only 1 character per server. But you can go on as many servers as you like.
As of right now afk players are not kicked. This does need implemented though. People are unable to get onto a server they started on because of this and the limited slots per server.
Is that how it works? I thought it was just who is online at the time not how many people have created a character
It is indeed how many are on at a time.
