Greetings!
After playing for a couple of months, I have decided to go back and wish for a meteor shower (no more procrastinating!).
I am at this very same spot as I used to wait for it 3 years ago: Let the shower begin! - Conan Exiles - PS4 - YouTube
I even built some furniture (IKEA) while waiting for it, but still nothing.
I am logging from time to time, even running around with the spell for locating resources (in case I missed some meteors).
Is meteor shower still working as usual?
Where is your favorite spot?

Still works as normal- i just dont wait for it. I just run a pattern where they hit. If they are there i pick them up.
I never wait till im out either. Ill go looking when im down to to my last 200 bars.

The way it used to work it seemed, was that once all of the meteors on the ground were gone, a meteor shower came. I used to to farm them and after I could not find anymore, the meteor shower would hit.
To be honest that was years ago, I have not had to farm meteors in a long time. I do not think I have been in the frozen North in about a year at least.

I’ve built a base on the southeastern side of the Mounds. Far enough south so as not to get hit by a Rain of Death, but close enough to hear it. Then I just do whatever, and if I hear a meteor shower I can pick up my explosives and go mountaineering for a while.
This is on Single-Player, so if I’m not in the neighborhood, meteor showers never happen. But I also don’t need massive amounts of star metal, so the handful of showers I’ve harvested should last me for a long time.

Meteor shower must still be there, since Ive been finding meteors. Admittedly, not many, but I have. Ive only actually seen the shower like twice in my thousand hours of conan. Afaik the meteor shower is on a long cooldown, like several hours.
The reason why you wouldnt want to build in frozen north is because a meteor might hit and destroy your building.

I have seen a few, and been killed at least once by a meteor.

Talk about conflict of emotions! I would be both thrilled and mad about that

One fell right next to me a few months ago. It startled me so badly that someone with a weaker heart would’ve got a heart attack. So “killed by a meteor” could’ve got a whole different meaning.
Can you see the headlines? Person killed by a virtual meteor strike!
