Missing/Non existent Corpse& Loot

Bug Description:

Missing Loot and Corpse. I was disconnected while outside my base in a safe area. When i logged back in i was on a beach far from my base and apparently had died for no reason. My whole inventory gone. I looked at the map and it had a marker for my body loot in a location i was not at. I went back to my base and used " Summon Corpse" and it said i didn’t have a corpse" i also tried going to the spot where it said the loot was and there was nothing there. I lost my whole inventory. Legendary weapon, expensive craft mat armor, a lot of building materials as i was in the middle of building. All just vanished.

Bug Reproduction:

Just right outside my base building and i was disconnected.

It says the inventory items decayed. I don’t know why. I was never able to even locate any corpse or loot at all.

Well, a lot of possibilities.

  • You died somewhere away from where you were.
    When we get disconnected, sometimes we keep the momentum, i.e. if you are running, you will keep running for a while after disconnected. So this could be the case.

  • Who killed you?
    Check the event log.

  • You can’t find your body regardless of the marker showing on map.
    There is a very small chance that another player found your corpse and chopped it up with a butcher’s chopper or a skinning knife like they would an animal.

  • Items decayed.
    Said player didn’t loot your bag and ran off…

And lastly, there’s no refund policy for lost items so my condolence.
