Greetings, fellow barbarians!
Today, I want to promote some mods I found in the workshop. Why? Because they’re great, and I hope more players will find enjoyment in them.
Enhanced Armor and Arsenal
This mod adds a lot of stuff, e. g.
- alternative progression systems,
- new endgame weapons and
- new bosses.
All mechanics seem to work pretty smooth, and for a mod of this scale, I’m surprised about the quality and lack of unfinished or broken stuff. Some things are obviously work in progress, but let’s say it’s more functional than the base game itself.
It seems to be very compatible with other mods and should even work on Isle of Siptah, Savage Wilds and so on.
This mod is vaguely similar to the more well-known EEWA, but also very different. It doesn’t add new dungeons, but similar systems like magic attacks, new equipment and so on. For example, you can cast cone-shaped damage spells:
It works fine without level increasing mods, contrary to some other suggestions you can find.
Darg’s Decorations
This mod adds several pre-made building and decoration items, including the Stygian Ruin buildings from Sitpah and the Stygian adobe houses from Sepermeru. Pictures can be seen on the mod page.
I want to highlight the wooden building tiles included in the mod, because their usefulness isn’t apparent from the pictures. The mod has several wooden pieces such as walkways, bridges and stairs than can be placed without snapping to building pieces.
That’s really useful if you want to build ramshackle or repaired buildings, such as a bandit base built in an old ruin. You can also patch holes in ceilings, bridge those annoying gaps the building system sometimes forces you in and integrate your buildings better into pre-existing features such as ruins and mountains.
For example, this intentionally questionable wooden bridge was put together with these pieces:
Here, I had a gap in my floor pieces, which could be patched with the wood tiles:
Desolate Lands
Desolate Lands adds new areas and dungeons to the Exiled Lands. It’s all pretty polished, challenging without being unfair and has a lot of surprises.
For example, you might suddenly find this forgotten desert tomb:
If you’re on PC, try these great mods out. The creator’s obviously put a lot of work into them, and it’s fun to explore them!
