Sorry if my questions sound stupid for some of you I have searched for information but never really had the answers to my questions regarding the multiplayer mode in Conan Exiles.
I am interested to play with some friends and I want to be sure that it’s really a good choice. And I am very interested in the PvP mode.
My questions are the following :
What happens when you log off ? I mean what happens to your home when you are not logged in ? any one can come to your place and destroy it ? steal the items ?
What kind of server do I need to choose ? How many people are there on a server ? On a same server you can have I guess new people arriving and people that already have castles … ? How can any noob survive when he faces a much more experienced player ?
Concerning the play with friends ; anything important to know ?

We have played a lot battle royale games lately (PUBG, ROE …), we used to play MMORPG (UO, Age of Conan …) but we look for something a little different and that doesn’t consume too much time as the MMORPG can
Official server max size is 40 slots.
There are 3 types of server: PvP, PvE-c, PvE.
PvP you can attack other people 24/7 and destroy their buildings in a certain time window.
PvE-c you can’t destroy other people’s buildings but can attack each other in a certain time window.
PvE you can’t fight other players at all.
You can’t survive against much more experienced player in PvP. Run away and deploy guerilla tactics till you get stronger.
Yes, 40 max players at a time on official server, private ones can go higher and have different rules.
I think that depends on the server and people. I have run across many players, one group of 3 even built next to me and signed a peace treaty in case of an attack.
Listen, if you have friends to play together do not hesitate to try this game out.
During free weekend I played for 42 hours in 3 days, made 2 new friends, built a base, stole legendary weapons from other people’s base, ran from russian killers for 20 minutes (while holding legendary weapons in my inventory) and much more. Right after free weekend I bought complete edition with all the dlcs.
Yes, but it’s important to understand that that means at a time. There can easily be hundreds of players, just only 40 online at the same time. I realize @mrdarmac says this above, but it can do with repetition
