Mounts vanish without fail everytime on public server

Mounts vanish without fail every single time. After investing in armor and even buying the mounts DLC (which I’ve now requested a refund) everytime I tame a horse and leave it in a building or stable, I log in an hour later and it’s gone. 4 horses have done this, so it’s not a random bug - it’s a reliable bug.

I don’t see how this update was production ready, it’s happening on an official server.

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

Tame a horse
Ride the horse into a base, shelter, anything with doors
Log off, come back about an later and it’s gone.
This is specifically happening in the north forests.

Just to confirm do you place your horse to guard the position before logging off?

Yeah from your description it sounds like you don’t actually tell the horse to stay put. So it would ride back to where it was last set on guard mode. (you should check your event log)

I don’t place, I just ride the horse into the room and close the door. I then sleep/log off in the adjacent room.

So are you saying I need to pickup the horse and place it? I set it not to follow, I don’t see a guard option - although it sounds like you’re saying it guards after being placed?

I checked the event log and it does say the horse returned home but I didn’t realise the last place I placed the horse was ‘home’. Sometimes I pick the horse up to climb walls and then place it again.

So if I place, instead or ride into my base, it’ll stay there right?

Yes. You need to place your horse to guard a position and it will stay there when you log back. This will be its “home”. Your other horses are probably waiting for you on some mountain.
