Multiple Issues on Migrated Linux Server - Emotes, Admin Fly, Favourites, Saved Password - Version 361,894/0

Game: Conan Exiles Enhanced
Platform: PC
Server type: Dedicated Server
Operating system: Linux
Server state: Migrated server
Version: 361,894/0

Issue Summary:
After migrating a Linux dedicated server to Conan Exiles Enhanced version 361,894/0, several issues are occurring involving emote persistence, admin fly mode, server browser favourites, and saved server passwords.

Issue 1: Emotes do not persist through death

Description:
Emotes learned from books in the world are retained after logging out and back in, but are cleared after character death.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Join the migrated Linux server.

  2. Obtain multiple emotes from books found in the world.

  3. Log off and log back in.

  4. Confirm the emotes are still available.

  5. Die.

  6. Respawn and check the emote list.

Expected Result:
Learned emotes should remain unlocked after death.

Actual Result:
Learned emotes are cleared after death.

Reproducibility:
Observed multiple times by members of my server so far

Issue 2: Admin Panel Fly/Walk controls do nothing

Description:
The Admin Panel fly/walk option appears to enable, but it does not allow an admin character to fly.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Join the server as an admin.

  2. Open the Admin Panel.

  3. Enable fly mode.

  4. Attempt to fly.

Expected Result:
The admin character should enter fly mode.

Actual Result:
Fly mode appears enabled, but the character cannot fly. The fly/walk controls do not appear to have any effect.

Reproducibility:
Consistent so far.

Issue 3: Server Browser does not retain favourites

Description:
The server browser does not retain the private server as a favourite.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open the server browser.

  2. Find the private server.

  3. Mark it as a favourite.

  4. Exit/reopen the server browser or restart the game.

  5. Check whether the server is still marked as a favourite.

Expected Result:
The server should remain marked as a favourite.

Actual Result:
The server loses its favourite status. This has happened a dozen or more times.

Reproducibility:
Consistent or very frequent.

Issue 4: Password for favourited server is not always retained

Description:
The saved password for the favourited private server periodically clears, requiring the password to be typed again.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Join a password-protected private server.

  2. Save/favourite the server and enter the password.

  3. Rejoin the server across multiple sessions.

  4. Observe whether the password is retained.

Expected Result:
The password should remain saved for the favourited server unless manually cleared.

Actual Result:
The saved password periodically clears and must be retyped.

Reproducibility:
Intermittent.

Issue 5: NPCs do not spawn for several minutes after server is ready to connect

Description:
Servers do not spawn NPCs for several minutes after they are ready to be connected to.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Boot private server.

  2. Connect when server is marked as ready

  3. Find NPCs

Expected Result:
NPCs should be ready and loaded when players are ready to connect

Actual Result:
NPCs do not spawn until several minutes after server ready

Reproducibility:
Consistent

Additional Notes:
The emote issue appears tied to character death rather than login persistence, because emotes survived a logout/login cycle but were cleared after dying while fighting a MiGo.

Regarding the emotes - are they also retained through server restart? Because in singleplayer the learned emotes are lost on login/logout, but that is server restart for singleplayer, so it’s less clear which of the two is the cause. (Note, this is on non-linux, but I figure the data is still useful for both sides, since it would potentially reveal that the same bug is applying across the board.)

I haven’t tested this specifically, as I’m trying to avoid constant restarts in testing while my players are on. But I’ll test and report back.

Edit: They do not persist through server restarts.

Thank you, that is good to have confirmation. So it seems to be the same problem.

Thank you for letting us know. Some of these issues will be fixed in our upcoming hotfix.
Please make sure you report all bugs through our help center. You can read more about that here: [PC] Conan Exiles Enhanced Bug Report Guidelines

Hi @Dana,

Thanks for the acknowledgement. I’ve sent it through also to the Inflexion team through the bug submission form.

Any ETA on the hotfix drop? (Not pushing, just curious so I can let my players know when to not bother collecting emotes etc)

Update to the emotes issue since the last hotfix:
It seems emotes persist between sessions now, but not restarts or death.

Grabbed the seduce emote from the pirate ship in EL and it stayed on my character overnight - and logged in/out to ensure it stuck multiple times - but restart of the server, it’s now gone.
