Is there a reliable location for Musashi’s Black Blade? My old one is wearing down and now that Al-Merayah is removed IDK where to look. Is the RNG chance the same everywhere or is there a more likely drop?
There is no more likely drop than legendary chests.
Is there not a boss with it in the loot pool?
Not one with a higher drop rate.
Musashi’s Black Blade is a random drop from legendary chests. It’s complete RNG as far as is known.
There are alternatives that can be farmed relatively consistently:
This can be found in the Dregs at the spider boss.
This slightly better weapon drops from “No Prey Remains”, who’s in the Silver Mine.
The latter is still worse than Musashi’s Black Blade, but it comes close and is pretty easy to get - and you can get some stone, iron and silver along the way.
I’ve come across Mushasi’s Black Blade at least two separate times in the regular Dregs (from the boss spider or perhaps one of the boss chests there in the final pool). I won’t say it’s consistent, but I was surprised by it on two separate fresh games.
But I’ve also picked up Graceful Night from it.
If you want a particular legendary the best place is where there are the most amount of legendary chests.
Warmakers, wine cellar and the underwater city one I think. The last one is probably the shortest to do and safest I think. But you will need some way to either breath underwater or extend the time to hold your breath.
My experience is that it’s completely random. Maybe they should rename it the No Rhyme or Reason Blade.
I did get three of the mace that looks like a stone club back to back to back once. Not remembering the name offhand. Go go gadget random.
Gotten in Dregs a few times, sometimes 2 chests.
Easy dungeon to run thru to get 3 chances. Only oddity is only 2 Bosses drop keys. So gotten bring some of your own.
Really just fast runs to easy get to chest matter now. Handful of world map chest left. I’d have double check keep by lake, there was chest there..just had deal with massive amount of undead and boss. (which use to be nice way farm wraps.. been awhile since I’ve checked there)
AFAIK, there’s no Skeleton Key chest at the King’s Niche since they removed world chests.
Weaver’s Hollow still has a boss chest (and a Spider Demon that also gives a key).
This sweet early grab of a powerful blade is so very missed. Then killing some stygians and getting a short sword too and decent healing and buff feasts so early in the game… Yes Al merayah I miss you so much, what a gem you ‘ve been.
But .
Musashi is a decent end game weapon, extremely op on clearly ability builds. It’s better to be rare. I really wish however to give better stats on crafted katanas because as they are it’s neither good or logical. And somehow the blade of seven wings has to become fierce again, not the garbage that it is right now .
It was too easy to get from al-Merayah, you could easily jump the walls and snatch it with little risk. It should have been placed in the throne room so you could not acquire it without needing to confront Commander Bakt-Nimlot.
I think if al-Merayah ever returns (and I would like to see it come back as an occasional event), it needs a redesign on its loot placement. More loot inside the keep, especially all of the pointless empty rooms, and less loot outside in easily accessible locations.
There should be a much stronger incentive to assault the keep and fight Bakt-Nimlot.

I still have it on the Isle of Siptah, now mounted on the wall.
This game has many things that will passed unnoticed especially when you play mostly pve. That’s one reason people should try all the legendary weapons even if it’s not their “playstyle” . Although i have tried to do sessions with every weapon i can easily say that i haven’t tried to do it with each legendary weapon. So be sure that i absolutely don’t know everything about this game brother but i am also sure that nobody does either

Yes. There are still many more surprises. It just takes someone to ask the right question to remember weapons and items from before.
And how they do now.
Don’t give the Predatory Blade to thralls! They do a lot of heavy attacks.
The predatory blade or lion axe are very useful on encumbrance builds or authority builds especially on PvP servers for people who play with heavy armor. With just one perk on strength you make the hell of damage with light hits and you can shield your self easily against multiple opponents.
Many players again use the predatory weapons with advanced blunded fitting to knock down NPC’s since heavy attacks do just one dmg but knock down very fast.
There are still a lot to learn and find out in this game but unfortunately there’s no reason my friend @The_Hawke . I wish they were giving us reasons with gaming features and not simply by nerfing or erasing mechanisms.
