Tavern gameplay (or whatever it is) has been out for a while now, and every time I spend time there, I wonder, “Why isn’t there music in these places?” It’s truly sad to see performers dancing to nothing but background chatter. So I’m proposing adding musical instruments that play themed music. These instruments can be played using magical items or by performers of various races (depending on their origin, the style may vary). Whatever it takes, put some music in the taverns!

I built a whole Greek Temple tavern/Derketo shrine that’s filled with thralls and traveling NPCs, but the silence is jaring.
If you have access to mods as an option, then Xevyr has already updated his music barrel mods to enhanced. But yeah, some kind of playable instruments for unmodded would be good. It’s already possible to place a thrall at a big drum or warhorn and they’ll make noise, so the basics are in place -now it just needs some more melodious options.
Since the music from Age of Conan is being revived I’ll phone in a request for this one in taverns.
