Hi, I am a solo player and I’ve played this game twice, the first time maybe a year ago and really enjoyed it. The first play through I didn’t get very far since my progress kept bugging out. My attribute points would reset to 1 but my level stayed static and my journey steps would reset. I tried to find workarounds for these issues. I would put distance between me and my base (relatively small base) and then drop a bedroll to “save” every time before putting the console into rest mode or Exiting the game. This worked for a while but the day it didn’t, I gave up and put the game down.

Now, a year later, I thought I’d pick it up again. Perhaps the bugs of ol were fixed and I was pleasantly surprised! I had a blast playing for the last month putting over 100 hours back into the game. I explored areas I had never been, dungeons I’d never hit and tried gear and setups I’d never tried before. I enjoyed the PVE fortress and must have run around 40 lvl 8-10 purges with a multitude of different base designs. I don’t use mods or creative mode. So I invested a lot of time into doing what I did. That said, after the last update, my entire purge base disappeared. Some thralls re-appeared after having been dead for over a week… My main base had grass and trees growing through the floors… which in retrospect isn’t THAT bad but it was still an annoyance and having done what I felt I wanted to do, I decided I’d try out Isle of Siptah.

Isle of Siptah, is an interesting map design with probably a lot of cool stuff in it. However, I won’t know since it is incredibly unstable. Worse than the Exiled Lands was a year ago. My progress has been reset 5+ times. Bases disappear. Thralls (any) disappear. Journey steps reset. I hit level 61 at one point when I completed the Soldier journey, but didn’t get the Knowledge points… I’ve had to restart my Siptah experience a dozen times and when its not the character bugging out it’s the equipment, thralls and base. I spent 4 hours last night as a level 60 exile, setting up a rudimentary ~10x10 base with all the end-game stations (harvesting/crafting the materials as I went) and log on this morning only to see bags everywhere, no foundations and 1 row of 8x2 floating walls (that would have been attached to foundations on the ground, if they still existed).

I’m sorry, this is a really fun game and I’m not complaining about the 30$ expansion price. I just wish the game didn’t delete your progress for no apparent reason. I would likely play again if player progress was saved and 95% guaranteed (I accept 5% failure!) to last. As it is now, I would not recommend anyone invest time into this game since it is currently not a sturdy sandbox but more of an Etch A Sketch in the hands of a 90 year old with Parkinson’s.

Are you playing on single player or online? I play on console too but I’ve never had a base just disappear except from online decay timers. Unless it was the nemidian foundation bug after an update.

Hi, I was playing on Single Player. On PS5. Both games were deployed with minor customization. IE. Faster thrall taming time, higher harvest amounts and half thirst/hunger rates, ect.

When it comes to Isle of Siptah, after every character bug / base bug, I would create a new custom game and increase the harvest settings simply to try and catch up to where I was before my progress was erased.

On the before last attempt, I deleted my console save file entirely and started a custom Isle of Siptah map hoping that might have deleted some corruption or another. Sadly that didn’t help either.

Set up a new custom server in SP and switch off building decay
