My PC shuts down after a few seconds of playing Conan Exiles

Hello, I’ve been playing Conan Exiles since the beginning, and I couldn’t play anymore after the Enhanced Update because my graphics card only supported DirectX 12.0, while it requires DirectX 12.01 to play Conan Exiles. So I changed my graphics card, and at first it was fine, but since the last update, as soon as I start playing, my PC shuts down within seconds, without an error code. After checking, there’s no increase in CPU or GPU temperature, nor any voltage problems. OCCT, GPU-Z, and CPU-Z haven’t detected any errors, there are no corrupted files in Conan Exiles, and my drivers are up to date.

How many watts is your power supply?

The same thing happened to me with another game and the subsequent nvidia update. Mine was only 500. Switched to 700 and the problem went away immediately. Not saying this is it, but if you’re running on less than 650, consider upgrading anyway.

My power supply is a Corsair HX100i 1000 Watt.

What about a memory leak?

Sucks man. Hopefully an upcoming driver update or game patch resolves this for you soon.

Bonjour,

sad to hear this; it’s annoying.

Not an expert, but the setup might work. However, that processor is below the recommended specs (AMD Ryzen 7 5600X or Intel Core i7-11700F) or even the minimum specs (AMD Ryzen 5 3600 or Intel Core i5-10400F).
Still, the game shouldn’t just crash, and games can often run below what the software company proclaims as minimum specs. But that’s what I’d be looking at as a first suspect.

Does the same problem appear when running other games, esp. graphics-intensive? What exactly happens? PC goes black? Crash to desktop?

Since the update, my PC only crashes when playing Conan Exiles; no other games, even the most recent ones, cause this problem.
