I remember when finding named dancers and bearers was rare and special.
Now, as I found out when I was testing a new purge base configuration, they are the default prize for the absolutely lowest level of purge.
To test my reconfigured purge base, I tossed 1 gold coin in a coffer and called the purge. Purge spawn in , is defeated, easily, collect keys, get an average of one (1) named dancer or bearer purge very low level no risk purge.
Great. Easy mode continues.
I might as well play in admin mode.
P.S. Server is set to Barbaric+.
- 2.5 NPC damage
- 0.8 player damage
- Thirst and hunger at 1.1
- harvest rate at 0.8
- Spoil rate at 1.1

Many purges beyond me, but no T4 (exclude Barkeeper). Most T1.
Play you with mods?
Nope.
Vanilla server, except for the Barbaric+ settings.
When I last played we filled our base up using pit viper method for added defence.
Every purge gave multiple dancers and bearers. Tons and tons of Ama the Seductress and Rethrous the Unburdened. That’s all you saw everywhere. It got to the point that I suggested we get rid of the dancers to prevent a benefit to raiders in case they were temp sorcerers or we corrupted them. We still had so many Rethrous to position it didn’t matter that we’d got rid of the dancers in terms of gaps.
Takes so little effort it feels pointless; both in reward and the ideal of “survival”.

Except, it’s not.
At T1 purges, we consistently get named dancer and bearers and archers and fighters.
The combatants are Darfari level named.
Bump up to T3, almost no named.
T1 purges give rewards outside the statistical probability.

It’s possible it’s a bug that’s triggered by your difficulty settings.
We have default difficulty on our server and while testing our purge base configurations I’ve solo’d 30-40 Lvl 1 purges and have not gotten any named dancers or bearers at Lvl 1. Mind you, we get them from higher level purges but not from Lvl 1’s.
This seems to indicate that either it is RNG (which may or may not be likely depending on how many Lvl 1 purges you’ve done) or it mean that it’s a bug triggered by your difficulty settings.
This one hasn’t documented this enough to note even an anecdotal trend.
However, this one does think that certain levels of purges seemed to have more named cage dwellers than others and it wasn’t just higher levels equalling higher chances of names.
Also, some times the factions in the cages seems tied to the level of the purge.
Or perhaps it is tied to the composition of the purge. If the purge has Lemurian waves it has Lemurians in cages?
This one is not certain but this one thinks they recall situations as @Pugilist described.

This seems to reflect what this one recalls of the lower levels as well.
A fascinating topic to dive deeper in if it still exists when build season slows down.

It’s expecting thrall prizes from level 1 purge.
Usualy purges level 1-2 give random exiles and dafari faction thralls from tier I to tier III, but rare thrall prize are tier 4 “named” exiles/dafari faction thrals and some bearers.
Actually, no.
I expect nothing from a T1 purge. It falling off a rock simple. Irun them to test if the base is viable to spawn a purge, because purge spawns have some truly bizarre requirements.
Replace “rare” with “common” and we agree, as long as you add named dancers and bearers into the reward.
I have so many named dancers and bears from T1 test purges that I immediately delete them.

I’ll run 100 T1 purges and post the results.
You could be correct. God knows there are plenty of bizarro bugs in Conan and there is no reason this could not be another.

Too a degree, but I have seen other in my server official server have the same effect on the purge calls when I to happen to see them, as I proceeded to attack them during PvC times lol.
But mind you this is my experience as a third party watching others.

I continue to believe there is some behind the scenes adjustments to the total RNG because there are sometimes what we see isn’t statistically probable and yet we continue to point out RNG. I mean there seems to be some T4 crafters that pop up more than others in Sepermeru more than others and that it is server dependent on which ones somehow dominate the city over others. Same with legendary gear in Unnamed City. Crystal golem pieces are another that I get plenty of one and maybe 1 out of 100 of another. I know i’m not alone and so we either attribute this to the magical concept of luck or acknowledge there is something going on that is adjusting the fates.
It wouldn’t surprise me in the least that there are some levels that up the RNG %.

That’s a good point.
For me, I know my RNG for the last Breath of the Red Mother is hella low. I have gotten it twice in 6 years of play.
Reach of the Red Mother, however, is like sand. I get it so often I give it away.

it’s RNG
due to battlepass occasionally requiring killing enemies in purges our clan runs t1 purges and out of about 20 we probably got a t4 dafari dancer once , otherwise just t1-t3 unusable thralls
(official PVE server)
Well, my testing, still underway, demonstrates a much higher occurrence of T4 thralls.
Specifically, after 33 T1 purges, I have gotten 11 named thralls in the following categories:
Performer: 2
Bearer: 3
Fighter: 2
Archer: 4
Bartenders: 18
That, currently, is a 33% chance for a named thrall in a T1 purge and a 55% for a barkeep.

While I respect your goal to establish a good sized data set ( /salute ) maybe instead use creative mode in single player to re-create your base, then run 10-20 purges a Level 1 to see what results you get there.
That might be a less time intensive method of confirming or denying that your results are related to the difficulty settings on your group server.
Your method is good, obviously I’m not criticizing it, just trying to think of a way you could spend less time to arrive at an answer.
Using which difficulty settings? Is that with your Barbaric+ setting or just a normal difficulty?
Barbaric+. T1 Purges are a matter of calling the purge, sitting back, waiting for the defenses to win, collecting keys, and opening cages/chests.
Once I run this at Barbaric+, I will try it at normal settings.

The other way for me. I’ve got only one bow, ever, but those torches seem to drop from every other kill.
