Named Thralls vanishing

I know, once again a Thrall Vanishing thread. But I made an observation that might be worth investigating. I didn’t find it mentioned on the forum (but i didn’t search very hard)

  1. Catch some named thralls and process them through the Wheel of Pain
  2. set them on guard in my base
  3. equip them with sets of nice looking equipment, a good bow and a 2H-weapon
  4. make one follow me so he gets some experience
  5. After that thrall got a few levels of experience, select another thrall to follow me
  6. After several trips to the surrounding ressources and camps, the first trained thrall vanished.

The above took me a whole weekend.
I repeated this, starting with step 4 and I lost the next named trained Thrall. The second thrall vanished after just one trip with the third thrall.
I also noticed that the vanished thrall was first still in the list of the Thrall Pot. After relogging he was wiped from the Pot list too. This looks like a clean-up of unreasonable data to me.
The T3 Thrall I trained first didn’t vanish. None of the named untrained thralls vanished until now.

I don’t know how to interpret the log. I haven’t found anything that said ERROR and THRALL in one line.

Check your follower tab. It sounds like you haven’t placed them to guard after you were done with them and they returned to the last guarding position which may or may not where you think it is.

I’ve actually run into a similar problem with Mounts and thralls on my server. We run MANY MODS and one of them gives custom mounts that we give away with an event at the beginning of the month. Someone chose a Black Dire Wolf Mount, and the next day, it disappeared… twice. It was in his Follower List… then it wasn’t. Nothing in the event log. Second day after, it disappeared again! Same thing. Luckily it’s been a week or so, but it hasn’t disappeared again, yet.

I’ve also run into standard Horses disappearing, and multiple thralls just gone. Again, nothing appears in the event log, and they are no longer on the follower’s list.
