As far as I understood KorgFoehammer, his point was not about the survival aspect, but the sandbox aspect. And that has not gone anywhere.
I wonder if people who complain about the lack of content remember playing in an actual, physical sandbox as kids. Or if they even had a chance to do so as kids.
I remember. We spent hours upon hours at that sandbox. Sometimes with plastic soldiers, sometimes with toy cars, but often with nothing but a little shovel and a little bucket.
The only content, whether early-game, mid-game or late-game, in that sandbox was sand. (And very occasionally dog poop, which I guess serves as a metaphor for glitches.) The only things necessary for endless hours of fun was that sand, and a child’s imagination.
To continue this metaphor, Conan Exiles is sand (and some dog poop). If you’re not having fun with it, you know what you’re missing.
I’m glad I kept mine.
