Absolutely love this game.
I am playing solo mode.
I would like to play on an active pve server but when I look I literally cannot find a single one with people on it. They ALL say 0/40.
Anyone have advice on finding an active server?
I play on ps4 and the lag is pretty bad. Any advice there?
Otherwise the game has me totally enthralled. The lack of information took me a while to get used to but that’s what the internet is for.

I know on xbox you get a small handfull of the servers that say population numbers, the rest say 0/40 but if you log in theres players, its been a bug since launch. Hope this helps

Glad you’re enjoying the game. 
Sometimes the server menu doesn’t show players on the server despite there actually being players on them. @stelagel enjoys playing with new players, perhaps he can show you a few servers he likes to play on. 
As far as the lag on a PS4, you will probably need to consider upgrading to an SSD (if possible) or better yet, just getting a more updated console (PS5).

Welcome to the Forum. As our friends here have mentioned what you see as to how many people are on a server and how many are actually there is inconsistent. Playing on a server may actually increase the playability because your ps4 is not having to act as a server. Feel free to shoot me a questions.

Plenty PvE servers nicely populated out there, but keep an eye on the timezones and the one you’re playing from. A number of EU and UK-based ones and many US-based - all depends when you head online. Also, weekends are busier than during the week. I would find a modded server you like and that your system can handle and see how you like - you can always move on to another server. Of course, if you have a couple of mates also playing Cona, bring the on over with you. Good luck. 
That would indeed be quite a feat playing on a PS4 system.

3504 has a fair population pve Ps4. Depending upon the time of day.

Also if you have never upgraded your ps4 hard drive to an ssd, that is well worth the trouble. It will cut down on loading times and probably can find a drive thats at least the same amount of space as your current drive for small dollars.

Cool. Find a server that is good for your region. Your experience must be as best as possible! Other than that the purge is a mechanic that you must accept in timers that you can really react. I will join your clan nonetheless and I will help you the best I can. My psn account is this

You will determine the speed of your gaming experience, I will just hint and follow without criticism and with patience!

In this server @anon83039162 has already a chat and the possibility to find American (US and Canadian) friends is very possible!
The player that you see in the photo is Canadian too and he was playing a lot Conan exiles.

For PS4, it will be a bit of a burden.
As mentioned above, clean the system thoroughly. Also, if possible, acquire an SSD to enhance performance. It will help with other games as well. Upgrading to the PS5 (or PC) is probably the best option if affordable/available.
This one would suggest watching some people who stream or make let’s plays or guides.
Many of them maintain private servers for their community. Wak, for example, has long maintained servers for both Exiled Lands and Siptah.
With the impending 3.0, there is less active play on officials and more nail biting and pearl clutching. Expect numbers to pick up soon.
Also, the people communicating above are upstanding, if they invite you to a clan or shared server, it is as safe a bet as possible.
