From a few games I’ve messed with, Pro of a server is extra server options. You can fine tweak things much further then in-game setting.
Not super useful… but some setting only work with Server Set up.
Other is World itself, Server based, means everything is remembered. Cleared out the enemy base? now you can go back and keep looting.
SP, you can just build a small outpost outside of it… drop it off and go back in.
Timers (farming, decay etc) are fully active on a Server, in SP may not always be up.
Minecraft server I play on is like this, SP, anything within 4 chunks timer is movin, if I’m out exploring… none of my crops are growing and smelters do nothing.
Server, always active.
Main Con is having pay for server, or having invest into know how to set one up yourself.
And there often “online” lag. I’ve rented Conan Server for ps4 for me and my Brother and RP group before (expensive as hell) Theres a delay… just never present in SP.
If you got money to spare, Server is neat 2nd option to try. I don’t got know how or money to build/set up my own server.
If your happy with SP… little reason to not leave it.
