New rules are applied to PVE? Doesn't look like it

Hello! I’m new at posting here.

I’m used to play at PVP, however due to time schedule I ended up going to PVE. The server in question is #3060 but there’s others.

I’m constantly having lagging due to the “mansions” ,“castles” and hundreds of pets and thralls all over the map.

Why? Because of the purge? You’re not going to be attacked. Lagging the server over megalomaniac ego building.

I’m only doing the dungeons. But all this buildings end up lagging the server and it is noticeable when I’m attacking camps for armorers and etc.

At least try to build giving space for others to walk (a bit hard when carrying thralls to the wheel). Oh… and sandstone castles/buildings are a joke! At least make something pretty. My simple small shack is prettier than most stuff in here.

Welcome to the forum. This is a known issue that Funcom is taking into consideration on official servers and provides a reporting mechanism for players to report clans that have made laggy messes. The Zendesk is where you report this.

Please keep in mind that this may delete all structures of the clan and potentially ban said players for a period of time.

Thanks for the information!

I do not want to report but it’s a bit too much. There’s portics (like for a race) in the north through ought the roads. I do not want to harm anyone, but it’s too much. I’m there solo, with a small base. But a guy recently entered and is already making a huge sandstone castle.

For PVE you sirs should consider something like the base system in “No Man’s Sky” to limit the area for building.

I’m only doing dungeons (solo) and then I’m going to transfer for Siptha. But If I wasn’t I would Report.

Only sociopaths want to report. The rest of us begrudgingly have to to ensure new players like your self aren’t getting negatively affected.

Hi n’ Welcome to the Forum.

If u play on PS4 this Problem will every time happen, for it no needs to have a big clan with massiv buildings or to much pets.

With PS5 this Problem is solved, no stuttering.
I have both so i can tell u the problem is the console n’ your provider not the massiv buildings clans or pet clans.

I have test it so many times with my consoles.
I have a 1gb speed but it use only 250mb on PS5, 60mb on PS4 Pro.
PS5 60-120fps / PS4 Pro 30fps

So this is the Problem. 30fps n’ 60mb.
the game needs much more power then the most think.

But that’s just data I’ve collected.
Therefore, unfortunately, I cannot propose my view as a 100% solution.

But i hope u have a great day. :v:t4:

Welcome m8. You remind me my first days in the forum. I know exactly why you went to pve to relax a bit from the pvp stress and in pve you got stressed more. I won’t say more than, I totally get you.
I am now in a pve server again with a small build in the mount of the dead. My entrance is smashed 2 times from others purges and for some reason wherever I go to build, other builds like mushrooms are spawning around me . Oh I get used to this so far and it doesn’t bother me anymore, after all it is a free server for everyone so I cannot complain. Still the pve goal is more building than enjoying freely all the other content of the game which is so beautiful. C’est la vie. Welcome to the forum :+1:t6:.

Thaks for the info GodsOfExiles.
I totally have to get a PS5. XD

I play this game since it was offered by the PS Plus. Bought all the DLC (Siptha included).
I’ve been in a PVE for 3 days. I only see people building. Only today I’ve seen someone in the city. Probably farming Fragments of Power like me!

It seems PVE is the Megalomaniac’s Sim City.

I heard it was bad. But it seems I might have found a good place to be in peace! I hope Siptha PVE is better. Only have been there in PVP.

Not all the pve servers are like that actually, but you have to search a lot.
About Siptah, the same, you still have to search a lot.
So either you won’t care anymore and look it as extra difficulty content, either you have to jump from server to server until you find the one you like to play.
Good luck m8, especially on your surges, you will have to check the player list to see if you are alone so you can start your surge.

My input:

  • Almost ALL pVe servers are like that! 95%. The ones which aren’t are getting merged coming up pretty soon now. So, they soon will be as well.
  • FC is aware of this but absolutely NOT addressing it. They leave it to players to snitch on each other and only reactively apply their rules. Fact.
  • The lag you describe sounds like a hardware spec issue more than player builds. Castle lag is proximity and camera plane (view cone) based.
  • The game is whatever you make of it. It can be relaxing or stressful, exciting or boring, it TOTALLY depends on the headspace of the player.
  • Me, I think Exiled Lands is weighted more toward adventuring and Siptah for castle building and trials type play. I would start with EL and complete most of that… then “retire” to Siptah.

I’m playing with a new character I made in PVP Siptha and than moved to exiled PVE. (My goal is to move that one to PVE Siptha).

I was totally relaxed, just doing dungeons and farming Fragments of Power, and now I have a guy doing “land claim” close to me. Why? Is he trying to use his purge to attack me? Is that possible? Or it’s just an ego problem?

All cool because once I’m done I’ll move to Siptha. I’m even going to try and give all my stuff to someone at the end. But it’s this things that ruin an experience. Ego building in PVE get’s out of control really fast. Senseless and tasteless.

I end up missing PVP, because there the ego builders get noticed and raided fast.

The main reason I’m on PVE is because of the “Troy horses”. New guys enter your clan and than they just steal and delete everything. Heard a lot about it (guys I’ve played with previously and dudes I meet online) and almost happened with me recently. Sooo… you need to know a guy to play with security that you won’t get Trojanhorsed! XD

Welcome to the forums, @RuiConstantino.

Unfortunately, there’s no guarantee that the ToS will be applied if nobody reports violations. That seems to be how Funcom server moderation works. My guess is that it’s because the cost of having enough people to log in and fly over the whole server every day is way too high for free (i.e. non-subscription) servers.

Whatever their reason, it seems that’s the way things work now and they don’t seem likely to change.

As @erjoh pointed out, nobody wants to feel guilty about reporting someone else, but nobody seems to want to apply the rules to their own bases, so you’re left with a choice:

  • report a violation and live with it
  • tolerate the status quo
  • move to a different server

As for the Trojan Horses, stay on your guard, because there are griefers like that on PVE, too. It doesn’t happen often, but I’ve seen it happen at least once.

He prolly likes your base and wants to be neighbors… Have you talked to him?

Yes, it’s possible that his purge can affect you. But if you have some nice thralls it will be of no consequence.

I’m playing so solo! I have a Rhyno to ride and one Thrall to help me in my Dungeons quest! (and I just lost her in the Black Keep!) XD

I’ll probably move! So much machines and stuff, but it’s doable.

It would be cool if there was a way to be Nomad. Like a caravan base kind of thing.

CE 3.0:

Yeah, true. I used to get invites into clans very easily, but nowadays, there’s more like invites for Alliance/secondary clans. And even so, a friend of mine got his stuff erased a month ago. I think the transfers worsened that situation.

I’m not going to Report anyone, because the punishments sometimes are too harsh and it feels petty. If I could go Nomadic, it would be a big help. Just carry everything, open a tent and next dungeon. XD
Both in PVE and PVP.

Carrying a full base from 5-E to 5-N … to then move to the north … In the end I’ll finish in 8-C. After that I’ll leave everything and go to Siptha. Yeah. I’m going nomadic style! XD

It is possible to play as a nomad in pve. You just need to go 60 and then keep all you need only. Don’t forget that the artifacts of pve weight 0,01, literally nothing. You play always fighter build, your thrall is a named bearer and your horse or rhino. Anywhere you decide to put your tent is your place for awhile, just make sure you log out in places that no mob can hurt you. Especially now that you can take back on your inventory the building pieces all you need to safely log out is 4 foundations, 4 ceilings, 7 walls, 1 door frame and 1 door. Even if you don’t want to carry these items on you, to farm for these items is 5 min farm, no big deal.
Then it’s jungle too, a plethora of places that you can place your followers safely and log out.
Do it, you’ll love it.

XD
That looks cool! I was thinking more like a caravan! Trying to do something like that now! Two Rhinos!

Had to make two travels to carry everything! O.o

He has a stone “fortress” a bit far and a ton of sandstone foundations all towards my old base. I just left.

I had benches outside and they are all top tier. Probably though his purge could help him out in getting rid of me.
Playing solo in PVE is a lot easier to get top gear when you’re not building like crazy!

you do realize that ps5 are all sold out unless of course it’s a scalper. I have the same issue as the main poster. Like my neighbor built a building that’s literally 10 walls high and only did it because he noticed I was there . My base is just big enough to fit my crafting stations and wheel of pain. which all are on roof or in main floor which is literally 2 walls high. I have 2 thralls. I even see thralls floating on nothing too …lol the player’s base decayed. So I guess thralls don’t any more.
