All evidence suggests they don’t. If they used data like this then we wouldn’t have as many problems with cheating XD

But really, it might be that their intent isn’t to but based on their past history with previous titles, it definitely appears to be the path they’re headed down.
This would require swimming and flying threats to be added to the game.
I’m not against it. But three dimensional attacks are not something most video gamers are capable of handling.
After reading this post and all its responses, I’ve come to the conclusion that I need to go singleplayer or create a custom server ASAP

Nope. FC doesn’t want to pay for alphas on official servers.

Perfect, then if they can, they can tell if someone built a purge base super close to you and caused this. Except, building close to people isnt against the rules, and is in fact, something you strongly advocate for the ability to do so, or else you wouldnt argue land claim around bases as hard as you do. Whats the quote? You reap what you sow?

As much as I want to empathize with his situation, I just can’t after seeing him give none to others time and time again. The game is in a good state right now.

Remember that discussion about huts around a guys base? He had the pictures of it, and I would say one very good argument for that land claim on a PvP server was to keep enemies from building right on top of you.
You adamantly argued that its against the rules, and people should not do that. Ok fine - you just opened the door for players to build right beside each others land claim, so close that your original post here is exactly what happens as a result. You reap what you sow.

No you didn’t. I do what you do in this game roll with it, report it, and move on.
Your problem above is a direct result of you wanting, liking or agreeing with the removal of any or all land claim outside a players base. If you have a few outlying buildings around your main base, extremely good chance your neighbor wouldnt have built so close to you and resulted in you losing all your stuff.
This is of course assuming it wasnt a bug. If I can call it that.

Which has nothing to do with the topic, but good job side tracking it. Like it was said above, if its a bug, report it as a bug, not as a violation of ToC by a player.
If it was done intentionally, well, suck it up buttercup. No where does it say in the rules that you cant build a base beside someone and trigger a purge.
It’s an exploit and reported as such. So yes there is a rule against it 
A player builds a base, starts a purge and it attacks you.
What rule is broken? Link it directly from the ToC. If its an exploit as you claim, all purges are exploits waiting to happen then. Remove anything that can attack a players base because its an exploit.
