Based on Dana’s actions since launch if someone else didn’t direct to Helpshift then she would have, marked it solved and if no other comments locked the post.
We’re still in a transitionary period for Helpshift bug reporting so players will do it the old way. Plus seeing old info, AI teling them to post on forums, etc.,…
Dana appears to be the only one moderating the forums and she has limited time.
I realize it looks confusing a bit, I can see why anyone would want clarity but I think based on limited time this is the quickest way to drive the message home.
As for Helpshift, I’ve seen it said by staff that this is the way to inform Inflexion of bugs so they are recieving them. If they repliedto every bug report they wouldn’t have time to dev.
I think we should all provide our feedback but we should also be patient and reasonable. Not saying you’re not of course, just be compassionate.
God I hope so too, this not seeing markers, clanmates or ability to recall body is dogpoop. Makes coordination for me with raiding and teamfights a lesson in… let’s say patience -_-
Big ssumption but it might be in the build for the update which is tied in with other things and can’t be reasonably broken up for a hotfix.
because if it is marked solved… in reallity it is not solved… and then it is missleading the info… its only this… today i opened my game and no markers on my map .. so not solved… and then what happens?? a patch to fix a single server making all of us download 600mgs when the markers issue is affecting so many more people for almost a month already… makes sense some of us asking about it because it seems that this issue is spreading like a virus…
Oh I agree but even a problem found were trying to work this into the next patch answer would help. Do they even need more people reporting it for instance?
I don’t mind the patch to solve a critical crash recurring for at least one server. It’s just that I was looking forward to the patch after this post got marked solved and I would really like to play on my main server again.
The post being marked solved means reporting the issue is the correct way to react if it happens. It does not mean the issue is solved. Being not included in today’s hotfix most likely means, the team is still working on this issue. I agree, as mentioned elsewhere, that it is spreading at an alarming rate.
Not solved. As others have said, I did the help ticket (twice) and received the FUNCOM “we got your email” form letter. No other response. This has been going on since the Enhanced version arrived. No markers, no death marker, no summon body spell. I’ve lost one set of pretty high equipment and loot and had to spend 30 minutes looking for my body in an area on another occasion. I’ve even uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Based on the number of complaints in this thread after it was said to be solved, this is a major issue, so please fix it.
The ‘solution’ that I mentioned was the fact that this thread is marked as ‘solved’ - that solution being that people should report this issue to helpshift. No one is saying the problem itself is solved, it is just a way of marking that answer to the thread as being the correct answer.
Likewise, I pointed out that today’s hotfix is not the main June patch that has been mentioned a few times. It was just a hotfix for the crashing issue (related to a particular server, but as Kiki pointed out possibly an issue that could have affected other servers at some point). It only featured that fix, because that’s the fix that they released the hotfix to fix.
I didn’t say that any solution had been found. I said that ‘When a solution is found’ then they will release that solution. Hopefully that will be soon, but we have no information about how successful or unsuccessful they have been in searching for a solution to the map marker problem.

It makes no sense to mark something as solved if the solution is “create a ticket”. Everyone has created tickets. The status of “solved” has no meaning if that’s what it’s used for on every forum post. This is a huge/growing issue that should be given high priority and flagging it as solved leads to misinterpretation by people looking at this thread. At the very least a simple acknowledgment of the issue should be given first and even then it would be common sense for there to be an actual resolution to the problem. If this post was “how do I create a ticket” then the solution makes sense, but it’s not.
Everyone wants a status of the actual issue and we are here on the forum because we don’t get that from the ticketing system.
Same issue here on Official PvP #1062 and Official #1200. No map markers, no clan dots, and Circle of Power cannot register my corpse (says 0 corpses found). Game is completely broken for PvP players. Ticket already submitted to the Help Center
Today, for the first time since the Enhanced update, the game crashed
After logging back in, I found myself in the desert.
I then realized that all the markers had disappeared from the map; I couldn’t summon my body, but I found it—thank good this happened while I was editing the maproom on the edge of the base.
This is an official server, and after nearly 5,000 hours of play, recreating my character isn’t an option.
oh also, the offline mode has no correlation to whether or not your character is able to access the settings to show POI’s, map markers, summon corpse. We’ve got people on our server thats recreated, after recreating its restored their ability to do those things, and it still says offline mode.
