start new game
talk to any npc no matter the progress, done at very start and hours and hours into the game
no text shown by any npc

of course! Here’s how it looks every time i try to talk to any npc
any of my friends i play with can see the text but i’m the only one who can’t

this happens with or without mods, just before i posted this i had just made a fresh reinstall of the game, and it was still giving me this issue
