Make notes we can write land claim free, so we leave messages for other players

With an arrow as the messenger preferably. Sometimes it’s wiser to stay at a distance.

during early acces i had propose to add some birdhouse with messenger pigeon, working like a mailbox between diferent clan and even if that’s too hard to realise, a way to communicate between clan regardless of they presence or not could be superfat^^
(And plz with that a way to intersept message for more in depth conflict !)

Hahahaha, and if they have that line in voice it would just be great! Also, I wish we could let notes on unconscious players bodies, they wake up, and hey, theres a note in my pocket?

That would help a lot the secret communication without the need to write on local or map chat.

I had a whole idea on this previously…was not very well received but I still think it could work.
Make the note, wall note and dagger note like you said land claim free. My idea was to limit them like bed rolls. You can only place one at a time as to prevent people spamming a crap ton of notes on someones door.
I think it would be so cool as invites or requests to a clan, death threats or acts of war, whatever really.

The problem with making it land claim free is a major one.
Jerkoffs will go around dumping stupid notes EVERYWHERE.
And as I understand it, on a non-PVP you cannot destroy other peoples stuff. So those notes would end up staying there until they decay. If the writer allows them to decay.
I think a more efficient way of doing things is taking some of the neutral city areas. Stick in a bulletin board. Take a consumable “note” that you use with the bulletin board. You leave a message on it, and it can be read by others.
Notes are automatically deleted after a set period of time.
Easy solution ^^
