Hi everyone, a question. Is it now completely impossible to get Ancient Obols in the game? I have a private PlayStation server and wanted to add Khitan merchants for players. But before adding Obols to the admin market or additional quests, I wanted to know if anyone knows if there’s still a chance of getting Obols. I’ve tried various NPC dialogue boxes and chests in the control panel, but I haven’t found anything. It would be nice to add the event cauldrons that give Obols, but that’s impossible on PlayStation. Thanks.
Without mods, without the Kithai headhunter event running, you cannot get Ancient Obuli AFAIK.
If you are speaking about Ancient Obolus you can spawn them very easy on your admin panel. Just type Ob on your searching bar and it will give you what you need at once, see example below
Now , when it comes to head-hunter event there’s no way to trigger it as administrator.
Events are placed ONLY by Funcom whenever they choose to do so and ONLY then we are all able to play them.
But what Ancient Obolus gives is something that you can spawn from your admin panel literally whenever you wish.
If you wish a full list of what this event gave the last time, i am pretty sure that the wiki page can provide. Take the list from wiki , spawn the items or the recipes and grand them to your server players by any way you like.
If you are unable to find this list, maybe @Tephra or @SirBowen will assist you.
But it’s really nice to visit this wiki page your self too . Some players have devoted thousands of hours to prepare this content so we can get all the information we need anytime we wish.

pretty much just camp outside the dregs it has the most sorcerers
I believe the best “run” to grind is not this one. I prefer the run on the sinkhole, since 4 camps have sorcerers there , plus you side grind the witch doctor mask , the witch doctor and why not a yogs chosen or any other named crafter you may get.
Until you make your full run , you definitely have new spawns on each one to rince repeat. It’s about 10 sorcerers every 15 minutes approximately, so you do understand how productive this run is .
Ran into the same thing after they removed the event, and it really does feel like Obols just disappeared unless you’re using mods or admin tools. For private servers it kind of forces you to get creative if you still want that content available. Honestly wish they left at least one consistent way to obtain them without relying on limited-time events.
So you say that in your private server you loose your coins after exiting admin mode?
@sestus2009 , whenever you can brother can you spawn some Obolus in your server and let us know if this happens to you also ?
hmm I may have forgotten the other nearby camps if they hard sorcerers or if the summoning place has a nearby slave caravan; I’ll check again when the event returns
but yes, would be really nice if Private Server admins would be allowed to trigger events like headhunter and the hunt
