Official Rotating Servers

Greetings, I am a Conan Exiles player who has played from start of early access, and I propose an group of twelve official servers that would run for 12 months each, with starting times one month apart, so that every month there is a fresh wipe on a official server, and that server would last 12 months. If created, my self and many like me would play on these servers. Some of the reasons I would play on these servers include:

  • Fresh server build races are fun, allows start to mid content of the game to be used rather than just end game.
  • The best build spots are open to competition because they do not take thousands of bomb to clear/take from some old dead clan with one player who refreshes.
  • Fresh server wipes each month would give clans/players who were busy during last wipe a chance for a great build location, and or players who were wiped from previous servers a fresh start.
  • Fresh server wipes would also give old players who want to return a fresh incentive to play again on officials.
  • Freshly wiped servers compared to dead servers would remove body vaults and old spam.

I propose to do this plan by picking the 12 least populated servers in officials, and changing them to rotating wipe servers, this would cause no new overhead.

Yes that would be one of the large advantages, land-rush/build-rush opportunity with an equal playing field. Example for why this is popular, would be the recent hacker fix which accidentally wiped a handful of servers, several of these servers had max population up to the point Funcom announced it was a mistake and there would be a rollback to before the wipe. There are many 99% dead servers, that I think would be better used to add a new play type that is only seen on private servers, that I think would be popular on officials.
