Our official server has just rolled back to the 5th of may.. my entire base and all my progress is gone.
After yesterday’s update, the server where my friends and I had been playing since the U5 update launch — with highly advanced levels and a very developed city — seems to have loaded a backup from before the U5 update, where I didn’t even have my character created yet. I lost EVERYTHING.
At this point it’s impossible to keep playing. I could tolerate the ping issues, but losing all the progress from the past weeks is too much. And it feels like Funcom neither reviews these situations nor warns players about them. Since these are lower population servers, if we don’t complain it seems like nobody cares and they just move on.
But this is exactly how you slowly lose players over time. I really hope you pay attention to player progression and server stability, and restore the latest backup from the server where we had all our progress. Otherwise, I’m seriously considering quitting the game, because this situation is unbearable.
Why should I invest my time and money into a company that doesn’t invest in its players?

Well the official server 1043 pve c after being closed for many hours yesterday it rolled back for a week or so . I play since early access ,that’s not good to happen especially without informing us. I lost 100 hours progress in a week . 1200+ hours in game and many dlcs and bazaar items aint worth wasting more time and money when I see staff like this happening in this way .Have a nice day everyone
Same here, started playing when the new update was released. My entire base is gone, i had set up 4 teleporters across the map, they are all gone too. Lost around 60 - 100 hours or progress.
Just to add.. rolling back a few days is acceptable but to rollback 7 days is totally unacceptable.
They dont give a damn fak about i was playing every day damn thats toooo much for me to get lost and 0 response from them .
Same here! I do not know about rollback beecause I started on this server after the enhaced update on the 5th May. Since yesterday the server ask me to “create” character like first time you enter. I have not done it to avoid further issues of overwritting my character on that server (just in case it helps) but aparently this is pretty much F up.
I lost everything I had I played since the 5th when the UE5 update hit. No rollback for me , just plain character deletion. I had 20 thralls , a decent large base , already level 60 , at least 100 hours of playtime all gone just like that.
My advice is , never play on official servers ever again. Untalented trash humans that struck gold with this game by accident , Dune: Awakening is garbage and failing already. I hope that whoever rolled back the server gets cancer. For real ,this is just unacceptable. I took 2 days of work , I lost nights sleeping to play their f-ing game and they delete everything. WHY THE F WAS I retar… enough to play on their official GARBAGE.
I think they need to give an offical answer to this issue! let’s press for it, here, on steam, with tickets… They need to acknowledge the issue and say what is happening, why and IF it is fixable or not… FUNCOM just communicate plainly before the frustration rise above a level from where a company can not come back.
We all wasted so much time in 9 days because of the update we where so happy and a random day suddenly the server rolled back like it was nothing.I cant believe it , I support this game for almost 10 years i play since early access when map was only noob river I now have 10 guys clan I gifted this game to many and I have lost my faith in a day .Damn so sad .
I have played this game for many years also, I’ve also played many games similar to Conan.. Never have i lost so much progress due to the devs before, a couple of days though very annoying is generally acceptable for a rollback, not what they have just done to us. We need an answer Funcom!

Same here, but it’s even happening in Single-player/Offline mode for me on PC (Win 10, RTX 3060). Since update 1.0.3, the game just won’t save any new progress no matter how I exit.
It’s incredibly frustrating to see everyone losing hundreds of hours like this. Clearly, something is broken with the save system in this patch. Hope Funcom sees this and rolls out a fix ASAP.
No announcement, no warning and no explanation they just delete quite possibly 20 - 30+ peoples work for 8-9 days, thousands of hours. *poof gone.

Have you checked the in game Event Log to see what happened to the base and you progress? It could be that it decayed or that something else happened to it.
In the meantime, I’ve passed this over to the rest of the team for further investigation.
100% nothing to do with decay timer, talking 20 - 30 plus people have lost 8 - 9 real not in game days of progress mate. Thousands of hours. We are all convinced that a rollback occured on the 13th of May that reverted our server back to the 5th of May the day of the update. I personally know this is correct as my charcter reverted back to when i first logged back into the server, after previously having a long time off. All my gear and items were exactly the same as it was on the 5th not when i logged out that night on the 12th of May
how the hell is decay making the character creation to pop up when log-in in? I play around 60h in those 8-9 days. I went to OFFICIAL server precisely to avoid this kind of issues. I had to convice my friends to keep playing regardless the ping issue and then, all the time spend just dissapear and NOT A SINGLE explanation,apologie,acknowledge…
I’m pretty much sure that is not a coincidence that on the 13th after patch 1.0.3 sever #1043 dissapear for some time from the list of servers… later it came back online I could join and my character was there, my whole base was there, everything was fine. After a couple of minutes server kick me out and when refreshing the list to join back ping went to 9999. In which it stays for another few hours. When I managed to join ping was nicely <100 and surprise! Character creation pop-ping up! like it was first time I join the server.
As said, I have not done the character creation -again- just in case it overwrittes my old character. I hoping and waiting for a solution to bring back what was there in place. PLEASE if not possible let us know so that we can decide what to do from now on with our play time.
In case you are still thinking in decay, I F***** connect every day for at least 4-5 hours since the 5th till the 13 ! how is that for decay? and some days much more hours than that! I was pretty excited to come back to Conan, I also bought the expasion. What a disaapointment.
I am many years in this server. I was playing for almost 3 weeks straight 2 weeks before the update and till 13/5 when this happened. At 13/5 I spawned in my base with the base in the state it was one day before the update and my character items inventory knowledge and everything were like it was on 4/5/26 just before the update.Thats a server roll back .Thats not acceptable for official servers .Thats the worst thing for as to happen as a 1043 server community I hope you understand and you support us …as much as we support and love your game with our money our time spend and the good words we say about this game to others.We where there when player count was 6k and its a shame that this happens to us now that our game peaks again.Hope for the best. .
The issue with the offline mode seems to lie in the saving mechanism. I tried returning to the game’s main menu and then logging back in, but the save file was still lost. Currently, I’m fixing this by standing still for 10 minutes to wait for at least two save files to be created in the installation directory just to be safe. Quite annoying.
Its been 5 days any official updates?
