Offline protection and protection from as....les

,

I want to raise two topics because of recent events that have happened to me. Write the topic in a very depressed mood.
The problem is, I was out of town this weekend. When I returned, I was robbed (inside the game), all three weeks of active play disappeared.
1)Why? Why “Conan E” doesn’t have offline protection? Agreed with the administration of the server or automatic, which turns on after a while? Any option! Because of such cases, you can lose players! Not everyone can be in the game 24/7, someone has a personal life or he wants to play other games. I don’t want to go to pve servers, to protect against robbers is fun, but only when you’re online.

I tried very hard to recover from the robbery (initially I stopped playing, but a friend persuaded me to come back). I went around a lot of places to find some rare artisans. But the ■■■■■■■ player just killed them on the “Wheel of pain” when pvp time ran out. I wasn’t " home "at the time. But in any case, any player can come and steal items from the machine tool, wheel of pain and other open containers. I won’t do anything to this player when the PVP is over. To build a terrible box is heresy. Spoils the atmosphere, resource-intensive.
2) Really? Funcom support the construction of terrible boxes? In all that time was not created by the mechanics of protection. For example, to steal someone else craftsman is necessary to put some damage (but not too large). Similar to the wheel of pain. At least forbid strangers to kill thrall!!!

P.S.(Thank you that in the new renewal revenge will cost more expensive. Twice as much explosive…offensively)

Yep, it’s annoying that you can be destroyed even if you’re not there to protect yourself. But. It’s an open world survival game that’s running 24/7. PVP immunity by logging out would cause a huge mess and could be abused too easily. Players shouldn’t be rewarded for not playing.

Such is the nature of PVP that sometimes you’re the predator, other times you’re the prey. The strong will bully the weak. That’s one of the reasons why I decided not to play PVP - because I don’t have the time or the energy to keep constantly defending what is mine.

There are unofficial servers with the settings/rules you desire. Conan official servers aren’t for everyone…

Every other survival game out there with raiding has raiding 24/7, while Conan graciously gives you a GD 18 hour grace period, yet people still whine Thralls have also been buffed TREMENDOUSLY and can literally 4-5 shot players with high-end gear. Excellent for base defense.

This game also gives you a log so you have a chance at hitting back.

What I don’t understand is why people whine about offline raiding, but not the fact that this is one of the only survival games out there that shows you the player list so you know when a player is offline.

Hate the player list and Steam server list for showing information that shouldn’t be shown.

In the end, the administrator will configure offline protection. It can adjust the time interval when the protection is activated after the player has left the game. The time of its operation. Or simply disable.
Strong-weak, I strongly disagree. If one player (or several), were able to confront other players, it is really a struggle of the strong-weak. But if one is waiting for the other to be offline, that’s rats.

Please read the second part of the topic.

Back in mid 2018 workbenches, Wheels of Pain and Altars where “closed” and no one except the owner was able to see / interact with whatever was inside them. This way you could place a Wheel of Pain out in the open without any protection. While this prevented minor griefing, there where major drawbacks

  1. Being unable to loot players just blowed up every workstation / wheel of pain. This way owner lost not only what was inside but also had to rebuild destroyed workstations.
  2. This was a really cheap and easy was to store your items - why would you store your items in the chest (10k health) when you could build a dirt cheap tier 1 Altar (35k health) or Great Wheel of Paint and get the same amount of secure storage space?

This is why we have to build walls around wheels of pain. If you are worrying about loosing your thralls and mats - don’'t leave them inside workbenches. Take them out and hide them before you log off.

Thralls? Lol. They’re so stupid they don’t respond to long-range shots. On gas arrows sometimes, too,. Moreover, the player has an advantage - he is reborn. The result - my zoo was destroyed while I was away. 2 “Dolencia snow”, 1 “Captain” and two “Archer III” - all dead. In addition they can be killed during PVE (PVP when the time ended).

Logs show only the fact of theft, not the player. I don’t know if it’s server setup or the game itself. In any case, I agree with the current position of the journal. The essence of the topic is different. For example, a Person needs to leave for a few days, relax, celebrate a birthday, check the grave of his mother. Does he have the right to have everything in place when he returns to the game? Or should he give up the trip? Or I have a vacation and a resort ticket. Should I choose between a resort and a game?

I do not mean a complete ban on access to the container facility. The prohibition of theft can only apply to certain items. For example no one will be able to take Thralls out of the wheel of pain (maybe porridge). But if you put there armor, then any player can take it. About the destruction, I contemplated the complete destruction of the facility and proposed the idea of burglary (causing a certain damage, but not more. Similar To Space Engineers). This will prevent theft during PVE (when PVP time is over. And the guards do not attack others players), but during PVP the player will need to use explosives, but do not overdo it. Perhaps this prohibition should extend only to the unprepared thralls and craftsmen. Analog for Altar, restrict access to the priest and restrict access to features that kill the priest and destroy the altar (creating an avatar, for example). Such items as “Ambrosia” can make and pick up any player. I don’t think it will be difficult for Funcom. A few lines of “if(…){…}” and done. Only, for specific subjects, no more. And there will be no such horrors as you remember.
