I played CE for a month now, only one PvE-C server so far. My base is located at G7. I had 4 purged so far, every single one was rocknoses. My neighbor who also has a base in G7 had 5, also only rocknoses. I can’t find any information if it’s intended or not and if it’s even possible to get another type of purge at G7. Rocknose purges are hard and come with no rewards, so I would like to know if I should build another base somewhere else or stay and wait for something better.
You know the main purpose of Purges isn’t rewarding player but destroying their belongings ? There no point to complain about not getting rewarding purge.
He wasn’t complaining, it’s a completely legitimate question. He wants a chance at some named thralls, possibly, so that’s a good reason to ask. The main purpose is a PVE survival mechanic but that isn’t the only purpose.
When they made the decision to include purge thralls and make them the only way to accomplish certain things in game, every purge and purge zone should have a chance to contain these thralls.
It’s a ridiculous game decision to have purge only thrall recipes when these purge thralls don’t spawn map wide.
You probably need to build somewhere else until / unless they change the purge system. I have the same problem, even though I have bases all over the map, except the jungle and volcano (and new area). My last two purges were Yeti.
