I play public pve servers and have seen some fantastic builds. The only ones that truly bother me either cut off access (walls from mountain to mountain with no climb and no open path) or those causing so much lag that I dc just walking past them. Some of the others are truly impressive.

Three things:

  1. Beautiful build, honestly and sincerely
  2. The reporting system paired with a subjective ToS creates issues for the wrong folks, i.e. support staff, players who love the game
  3. This situation is exactly why I left public servers: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Ban

Agreed. My location for that build was in an area that was high traffic. Areas that receive far less traffic are often left alone. Regardless, I learned a few lessons with it.

Yeah, the new base is actually a bare minimum for making it look pretty, but also have all the necessary benches. It’s a pretty tight fit, but it works. Honestly, I’d put the blame on Funcom for not making epic level benches that are smaller. I actually prefer to have small builds, especially little cottages and stuff. I’m not a fan of castle builds at all.

Those builds are tiny compared to what is on the offiical PVE server I’m on so I doubt it was removed for being too big.

There is a castle that stretches all the way from the sinkhole over to the black galleon area. It’s all built up along the top of the cliffs so nobody has an issue with it… but it’s massively long.

A clear violation of the server TOS, but PVE so doesn’t count.
