Outsider Achievement unobtainable since Patch 2.3?

Hi there,
is the outsider achievement (“Defeat a surge summon”) still obtainable after the removal of wild surges in patch 2.3? I tried getting it by summoning and defeating a surge at a leyshrine, but the achievement never popped. :frowning:

Any tips on how to approach this issue?
