Bug Description:
I have a thrall follow me (person and or animal) or stand guard, and no matter where I am, at home base, other side of the map, logged off, in a dungeon, thrall level is between 0 and 20, they eventually end up non existant. I can have the thrall for 2 days or 2 weeks they eventually just disappear from the game and followers list. They dont get killed by anything. This is rather annoying as I have them set up with legendary gear.
Steps to Reproduce:
Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. Please be as detailed as possible; the more details, the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:
Welcome to the Forum. I got Marcos the Archer over the weekend put him on guard in my wife’s bedroom decked out in epic gear and weapons gone the next day. @Community any ideas. We were way under the thrall cap. Playing on Sipath.
Im on an official PvE server. I been dealing with this issue since i created a character on it. saw reddit posts that were made over a year ago of people discussing how of their thralls fall through the map.
I never witness them disappear on my end. They’re there for one second, I turn my back and poof.
I did happen to see a wild scorpian today, (when I slained the ancient scorpian queen at K-9 on siptah), just start elevating up and then dissapear, only took roughly 7 seconds to do so. Im not sure if this is the same bug my own thralls are dealing with but it seems it may be the same issue if im actually witnessing even wild creatures dissapear from the game.
I suggest you send a report through Zendesk and give as much information as possible. I had a problem with one of the jailers bodies or the boss guy you can not knock out dissappear if you didn’t loot immediately.
Okay sweet, thank you for the information! I’ll definitely make a report there.
I hope they actually get this fixed cause it is really annoying, especially when i keep losing lvl 20 thralls with epic and legendary weapons i make for them. It really is annoying lol.
Have you combed the event log to see if it mentions anything?
There have been several times when I was travelling at speed and my thrall fell behind and instead of porting to catch up, they ported to somewhere out of the playable zone. Either beyound the stop swimming here waters or just under the mesh.
Yeah I just combed through it just now, didn’t notice the event log lol but I don’t see the names of three that went missing, (horse and people) 3 other names that just States the thrall died but not by what, and another thrall (horse) that poofed on me actually died by a snake… Somehow… I guess they got stuck somewhere and I wasn’t far enough for them to port to my side. But the rest are not there at all in the logs.
That sounds like a tele-frag for most of them.
Definitely report worthy, I’ve had it happen to me as well. I’ve managed to rescue a couple of them but that strips the gear obnoxiously enough.
The only other thing that I’ve found as a work around, and this is a complete dice roll because it either gets them back or it kills them, is to log out and then log back in and return to the last location I set the thrall to guard.
Hypothetically a following thrall switches to scouting when they are separated. Scouting thralls return home within a time impacted by variables beyound my kenning, but tends to be in the 15-60 minute range.
Yeah i do that sometimes, not a lot cause it is risky and rescue is honestly so much sacrifice depending on what youre thrall(s) had on em.
But i do agree its possibly a teleport issue as well. Nice to see what happened to a few thralls of mine, so its a little less disconcerning how problimatic this bug can be. Not liking seeing my thralls die on me but not how they died. The rest are just no where to be seen on the log other than returning home. My first highlander, centurion, and lawbringer are no where in the log. Only as “returning home”. Not on my followers list too and the numbers add up to who is currently active and alive.
