If the items were advertised with their bloated stats and functionality, then I would agree that there is a major problem. But the items in question are not advertised in any manner of having any stats or attributes or advanced functionality.
When an item slips through that has advanced power compared to non-paid items. One of two things are the cause. An oversight, such as giving a double wall double HP. Or entering the wrong values, such as putting 40 rows of 5 instead of 40 slots for the arcane cabinet. They are pretty consistent with their fixes on these items.
Planetside 2 would run into the issue you are talking about. Where you’d buy weapons from the shop, and new ones occasionally would have too much power and cause a bit of issue. Sometimes new weapons would be on the other side of the curve and need to be buffed up.
No markdowns have ever been done on the Bazaar to date. The prices you see with the slash are what the price of the items would be if they were not bundled. If bundling discounts are illegal in your jurisdiction by all means file a complaint with your local authority governing/regulating trade practices and get it rectified in your region.
Though good luck, because I have never heard of fries and a drink being discounted as part of a meal being illegal anywhere. But don’t let that dissuade you, speak to the authority anyway and let us know if they say you have a case.
I can’t do it myself, bundling isn’t illegal in my region.
