Hello! So I just recently started playing CE, and to get around the abysmally low tether distance, I decided I was going to host a dedicated server on my computer. I got the dedicated server tool FC made, downloaded the server files, configured everything on the tool I could see and attempted to launch it, for an error box to come up.
“ConanSandboxServer-Win64-Test.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point
??0?$CDbmFmtSafeImpIT@$00@@QEAA@PEBD@Z could not be
located in the dynamic link library tier0_s64.dll.”
I googled around and found that I should have had dll’s in my binaries folder, which was almost completely empty, and had no dll’s in it. I verified and re-downloaded and nothing new was downloaded, and even tried the Conan Exiles Dedicated Server Tool download from the Steam app, still nothing. I found the correct dll’s (I thought) in my ARK server folder, which changed the error from the weird text, to both of these.
“ConanSandboxServer-Win64-Test.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point ThreadImplOneTimeInit could not be
located in the dynamic link library tier0_s64.dll.”
“ConanSandboxServer-Win64-Test.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point ThreadSetBackgroundPriority could not be
located in the dynamic link libary tier0_s64.dll.”
I tried looking around now that I had something other than gibberish and a dll file and didn’t really find anything, and am unsure what to do. The server does launch despite the dll errors. I’m unable to direct connect to myself using my actual IP, and instead have to use a VPN workaround, but others can connect to me just fine. Though, if I’m not around to click away the box on the .dll errors that pop up (both when the server launches, and each time someone new connects) fast enough, the server will crash. Though, as long as I can click them away, it seems to run fine, oddly enough. I’m kind of lost as to what to do at this point, I would like to fix the .dll errors so that I don’t have to always be at my computer, and people can play on my hosted server when I am not around. I hope someone else has some ideas.
