I’m having a problem with this server and I can’t solve it. I’ve caused this server to crash for the third time today. I’ll share how I did it in a separate message so the administrator can delete it and prevent it from spreading.
I’m reducing the number of servers I play on because Steam might implement a follower count system across all accounts. On servers I don’t like, I free all the slaves and then delete the character. Nothing is left behind. And server 1041 is very problematic, and there are a lot of cheaters. So I want to do the same thing: free all the slaves, get 0/65 followers, and delete the character. That way I leave the server and never join again.
For some reason, I can’t do this in 1041. I’ll write the detailed reason below, And after you read this, you’ll call an administrator, have them read it, and then delete the message. That is, the flagging part. That way, they’ll also learn what happened when their servers crashed.
the 65 followers limit given to us. It’s not enough on all the official servers I’ve played on, and that’s what brought me to this point. I’m going to leave the servers where I’ve been passive and only play on servers I’ve chosen and whose community I love. However, my fear is that the followers from the server I left might still be visible. Funcom might make such a mistake. And that’s actually why I set all my accounts to 0/65 and then left. This was the case until sever1041. I was aiming to do this for 1041 as well.
But the problem is that the slaves are wandering around, some have gone missing, and I see them in the “followers” section. But they’re not around me. I tell them to show me, but they’re still not there, and they don’t appear on the map either.
Whenever I right-click on these lost slaves and select “free,” “stat,” or any other option, the server crashes. This is the third time this has happened. I can’t click on those last remaining slaves to free them.
I don’t want to delete my character because of the missing slaves in my 1041 PvE-C PC EU server. They might unfairly take up space in my 65 slots. I highly doubt they’ll be automatically deleted; they’re still pending. What do you think will happen if I delete the character? Will those slaves still appear as my slaves? “Anygamer” can calculate that there are 5 slaves on this server. That’s why I keep trying and it’s always the same thing, the server crashes.
To be more precise, if you interact with followers who have disappeared due to the movement of slaves, the server crashes.
I apologize to the players of 1041 for the inconvenience I caused. I’m going to try a new tactic now. I won’t log into the server for 20 days. My creations and slaves might be automatically deleted. Hopefully. If that happens, I can just delete my character and say goodbye to 1041.
Why would steam do that? Steam has nothing to do with follower limits in this game.
Easiest option is the one you suggest in your final post - simply abandon any server you no longer wish to play on and your followers should automatically decay and vanish.
Sometimes it’s very difficult to explain the problem of translation.
“Account-wide follower limit.” This is exactly what I fear.
I also reported a bug; I’ve been working on this for 10 minutes and I’m so bored. It should be easier. I prepared an official report and the results were published on the forum again. All I wanted was to make sure the Funcom technical team was aware of the issue, and I’m back where I started; I could only share it on the forum.
If you want to make a bug report (that won’t appear on the forum) - the correct link is - Contact Us — Conan Exiles Help Center - it mentions this in the pinned post at the top of the bug report section.
Yeah, we seem to be having a translation problem here, because there is still nothing that should stop you from having 65 followers for each character. But this is not important right now - your reasons for deleting your followers are not a problem - the problem is the bug that you have discovered. If you report it by the link above, that should get it directly to the people that need to see it.
