Does VOIP not work on PlayStation?
Correct. It does not. Nor has it for a few years now.
Do you know why? I have searched for an answer on multiple platforms and cant find an official statement about it.

Not entirely. Stability or inconsistency in quality maybe? I recall when it DID work it was very spotty and not great. That’s my only guess. I’m not entirely sure when it stopped working as most of the time I play in a party, but I recall moments where I did use it some time back and it was pretty poor. You had to be within fairly close proximity, but even then, it would cut in an out a bit.
I really wished it was turned on, even if it was spotty, atleast you could engage with who you come across, even if you had to get real Close… LoL
The spotty mic of a mans last words are PRICELESS…
Bring the Mic back please on Playstation.
I recall a similar experience years ago but didn’t know it had been removed.
