Indeed! Too bad he wasn’t humble and could admit an error though
I did step back for awhile but I couldn’t keep my mouth shut with the drivel up there, like dude!

Oh I never once made that mistake.
I simply made the distinction between offering a product at a more realistic price point that would appeal to a wider base, which would include their long standing patrons, would generate just as much if not more long term revenue than the quick cash grab greedy sleaze covered scheme of catering to the whales while completely turning your backs on those very same patrons who LITERALLY SAVED YOU FROM GOING OUT OF BUSINESS.
But hey, I guess those come and go, fly by night whales are who they really care about after all aren’t they.
Hello,
It’s truly fascinating to read the same ideas expressed repeatedly, albeit by different people, each making their plea on the same topic. If communication is all about redundancy, then I will also reiterate some points:
The original concept of the DLCs might have been focused on introducing the latest content:
Pets → The Savage Frontier
Katana → Seekers of the Dawn
Mounts → Riders of Hyboria
However, there were exceptions, such as the Great Debaucheries of Derketo! Sometimes, I can’t shake the feeling that being spoiled is merely the flip side of the coin regarding the uproar over FOBO/FOMO, or whatever other imaginary, jazzed-up delusions people conjure.
Let’s face the one important fact about the DLCs: practically everyone has used it whenever a new one has been released—oh cool, new, new, and exciting. However, there weren’t many choices, and as I recall, before the mods fixed things, most servers stuck to a dozen, maybe nearly 20 options. Back in 2018/2019, things were so different.
Each DLC provided:
A full new set of X-themed T3 building pieces
3 armors (standard & epic versions)
The same for weapons
About a dozen cosmetics (not every DLC included cosmetics)
Content-specific extras
Nevertheless, the offerings were always very theme-limited to one thing! Sure, as a
I acquired them all since there was no other choice; this was the only option available.
The Battle Pass & Bazaar have at least provided me with much more variety, which I genuinely appreciate and use! Sure, one armor for 350 to 1200 CC may seem, or likely is, expensive, but I am given a choice. For example, I don’t care about all the Norse, Viking, and medieval themes—others do. So what? There is diversity! DLCs were like one-trick ponies, offering one theme and then months of waiting until another theme came along… boring!
I suggest that this and any other thread repeating the same old song should be closed immediately.
They will never bring back DLC’s. Tencent is a microtransaction company, the over priced and deliberately time limited Bazaar model is the only financial model they’re interested in. Once that stops making them enough money the game will go no support and then end of life. Accept this reality and spend what you feel is worth compared to your game time, just be aware the game is most likely in twilight of it’s lifespan.
Why?
Obviously to cut the entertainment of redundancy, but guess you excel at…
And I suggest that anyone who suggest anything as absurdly ludicrous as this be banned. Immediately.
Seem harsh?
Not at all! I am merely suggesting the suppression of your voice, which is exactly what you are suggestion of everyone else’s. If you truly think that suppressing other’s peoples voices and opinion is appropriate that it is therefore appropriate that it should apply to you as well. So either suck it up and allow people to have their say and express their opinion, or bugger off.
Yes, it is quite clear that you do not care about the lore and culture of the Hyborian Age. It is also quite clear that you are extraordinarily selfish and you do not care about anything other than yourself. BOO HOO HOO you had to wait for a different culture to be represented. THE HORROR! How dare YOU have to wait for anything!!!
Yes you failed to bring up a major point. You pointed out that:
What does the BLB offer?
Over priced, often broken, often misrepresented and often incomplete sets of inferior crap.
WHAT A BARGAIN!
If it’s so entertaining, why cut it? And if it isn’t, why bother with it? Why not go read something else or do something else?
Making you use emojis? Making you be rude? That I do
Don’t let the hit you on your way out of this thread
This one will break it down further.
This one will happily pay 2018 prices for 2018 packs (don’t forget the 3 armour sets and wide selection of weapon skins).
This one would then happily pay a little extra in the Bazaar to get the more advanced building pieces. (think the Stormglass Cathedral expansion pack)
Seriously, this one would pay the 2018 rates for a full build set that didn’t include any outfits or weapons.
Alternatively, this one would pay the 2018 rate for a full outfit and weapon selection.
Honestly, this one would not balk at paying double the 2018 rate for a full build set and gear load out.
This one personally would comfortably purchase the Lemurian, Stygian, or Zamoran version of People of the Dragon for however many Chrome Coins $20 buys.
Fundamentally, this one would like to see more culture packs, and would especially like to see them not tracked on the failcrumb unliving services so that they are consistently available.
This doesn’t mean this one wants the Bazaar to die in a fire. While pricier than this one thinks reasonable most of the time, it definitely serves a purpose for things that aren’t easy to package. Altho formatting of a catalogue with a better system for rotation of package deals would be nice
I bought Conan exiles on it’s first sale. I bought the DLCs when they were on sale. If funcom had a return policy I’d be waiting on sales in the bazaar.
Some of us have been living on meager incomes most of our lives and waiting for sales is just natural.
And that is why I wont shop the bazaar with out a return policy. funcom has no incentive to get the content right. “sorry your content doesn’t work, thanks for your purchase”.
DLCs
The armor of the age of sorcery.
Weapons of the age of sorcery.
Construction in the age of sorcery.
Dust collectors of the age of sorcery.
The armor of the age of war.
Weapons of the age of war
Construction in the age of war.
Dust collectors of the age of war.
$9.99 each.
yea you maybe see it on that price but not as a dlc more like a seperate catagory on the bazaar, becuse of the contract with the tencent and funcom not making dlc´s anymore
I paid full price for all the dlcs.
But the tag is labeled FEEDBACK. Whether they read the FEEDBACK i’m giving them is a different story. Who knows maybe someone actually reads this crap and might make some adjustments with the next age…
I completely understand and completely agree i made a simular comment before about the amount of things we get in a dlc compared to a single item in the bazaar
Even tho i dont agree with it i must admit i cant hold it against them they dont have a major playerbase and we all can agree how expensive things are getting
Hopefully in the future things will get better but i do see they try and thats more than i can say about some companies so my advice
If you can spare it and u really like it get it and support em if not then no hard feelings we can still play the game we love
Oh don’t get me wrong. If the turanian expansion set rolls around while im playing. I’ll end up buying it. But the problem is. It came out in Nov 2022 when we had to PCS across country, no computers for 2 months and a downpayment went on a house. Yes it’s not their fault we had to move. But I haven’t seen it since in all the times i’ve came and gone from the game. I won’t sit around and wait for pixels. If they had an alternate means to buy past items. They would make money.
I conpletely agree it would be nice to kinda have the bazaar have all items on a page so that we can just choose
I did. I even had the opportunity to get several of them for free from various building contests etc., but I always donated the free ones to the person who was ranked next best, because I thought they were good value and wanted to support that kind of expansion model. (Except for the Yamatai one, which to me does not exist. I refused to get that even for free.)
Much like Kapoteeni I was offered free DLCs keys, but as an award for the Chosen of Asura title as opposed to winning the building contests (big congratulations on your wins @Kapoteeni. I have always suffered from ineptitude with sort of thing). And much like Kapoteeni I made the decision to give mine away, as I wanted to keep paying to support the game. So I devised a contest for our Modders and Artists in the community, with @KujoUjima emerging victorious and being gifted my DLC keys.
Personally I also like to try and pay full price for Indie games to give them a fighting chance and encourage smaller companies to have a go. For example, I have paid full price for and thoroughly enjoyed the likes of: Tormented Souls, Visage, Daymare, and Song of Horror, with Post Trauma squarely on my to buy list too!
