Please don't add fast-travel in the 'Isle of Siptah'

Worryingly - I’m in the south-west. I was kinda hoping the redwoods side was the good one

It’s not so much that I find the west that hard to know where I am, it’s just that anywhere I ever want to go always seems to involve huge detours round cliffs (that then lead to getting turned around and frequently having to check the map ).

I guess it took a while to learn to navigate the Exiled Lands, so I should probably keep trying with Siptah. But I definitely don’t feel like I’m enjoying the exploring aspect as much right now. Still, worst case scenario, I go back to the Exiled Lands for a while, and next time I come back to Siptah I’ve still got stuff to explore (heck, there’s still places in the Exiled Lands I’ve not so much visited as passed through).

I would like to see fast travel added. It reduces the need for multiple bases, which reduces the demand for land to build on. It also makes it a much smaller time commitment if you want to hop over to the other side of the island to hit a vault, because all of the vaults in your neck of the woods are currently on lockout.

Yeah, I think a one way teleport to the other side of the island would be fine. Maybe even one that I have fight through mobs to access would be cool.

If it makes you feel better we have warp points set up over our server for the same reason, we are busy and get limited playtime and I don’t feel like spending all my time hoofing it from one side of the island to the other

They added map rooms to the Exiled Lands because they failed to deliver on mounts and needed something to quell the riots. Mounts are now in the game so I doibt there will be any fast travel.

At level 60 you can run through the vault, defeat the boss and be out in less than 5 minutes. Most of it fighting the boss. A typical run takes from 17 minutes (Refuge of the Goblinoids) and upwards when farming Eldarium. Here’s a typical run when I made a video today. I spent about 16 minutes and I went out of the way to get them all, not to mention spending some time doing inventory-stuff. Not to egregious I hope:

Thanks for the kind words and support Ishinaia. Leave it to a pair of Aussies to cut through the clout and see this for what it is; a step backwards and a pain in the neck which diminishes our in-game quality of life. This foolishness was based on calls in a thread which racked up a ‘whoping’ 5 likes.

Obelisks and map rooms begone Feedback

Now we have mounts, Funcom can remove obelisks and map room teleport. It was not said until now anywhere but I expect it. Edit: For those that dont remmember/know map room and obelisk teleport was added to the game since at the time mounts where considered impossible to implement. Even the journey step can be changed from attune an obelisk to mount a horse.

I know how you feel, I wont want to be spending half of the very limited playtime I get legging it from one end of the map to the other either. So I will end up using the Admin panel so that I can bypass this. There is one thing you said which I am curious of however. The ‘warp points’ which you mentioned you have set up all over your server, are these part of a mod…?

Yeah as do I CodeMage. I dont know how difficult or expensive it is to make mods compatible with consoles, by goodness it would solve no few problems and translate into a lot of creative freedom and enjoyment for players. We have mods for Fallout 4 and Skyrim, and I know that Bethesda has deeper pockets. But the Farming Simulator franchise which I also play (hey sometimes a guy just needs a break from splitting skulls to plow the fields) also has mods. And I wouldnt image that it is a very lucrative franchise.

Ps- what is this LBPR you speak of?

Before we even start to talk about teleporting around the Isle, the issue of server stability needs to be addressed. Adding teleporting into the mix will only further tax and degrade the server. We deal with anywhere from 4 to 12 server crashes a day on the Official PVE sever I play on. Once stability is achieved I would like to see 2 maybe 3 main hubs on the map. Having to circle the Isle because a storm is going is just a waste of time, or having the storm start when your in process of running across the middle is also not much fun from a survival point.

Less Building Placement Restrictions, by the one and only @Multigun. You know how you can’t put down big stuff (e.g. map room, animal pen, and such) close to walls, but you can put it down first and then build walls around it? LBPR gets rid of nonsense like that and other stuff that doesn’t make sense (e.g not being able to place fish traps next to each other, 'cause they need space around them). And it adds an arrow that shows you which way the building piece your placing will face.

The two mods I miss the most are Pippi and LBPR.

Wow that sounds very handy. I placed my Maproom on the roof of my three storey black ice mansion, and had plans to enclose it with a room of its own. Unfortunately I had difficulties achieving this (especially around the Volcano section of the Maproom), and had to abort. So now it is just open air.

Mrs, Mrs Jones died twice today from the elevator bug.
The second time it was up by sabertooh island.
Here body timed out about 30 seconds before she could get to it, from our base in the SW corner of the map.

Fast travle will only make the alresy smal map even smaller, but maybe as 4 harbor area wher you can jump on a ship that tacke you around the coast.

And later maybe you can build yore one ship. Spec whit new land on the map is hinted.
