I saw the message over the holidays that the decay timers were lengthened! Thanks! Thats awesome!
So I when I logged in last, I used my trusty repair tool to see when the decay would occur based on the new timer.
Then I went to my favorite date calculator, and punched in the numbers, and set a reminder on my calendar… and breathed a sigh of relief.
That was 12 days ago. According to my calculator, the decay will occur on February 2nd, at 23:40.
This weekend I decided not to push it too close, so I decided to log in a couple days early.
To find that everything I owned was gone.
When the decay timers were extended, they WOULD have lasted till this Tuesday (from my last login).
Unfortunately, it looks like when the timers get reset, its “retroactive”. Tuesday will be two weeks, but apparently whenever the timers were reset was… well sometime more than a week ago.
Kind of a bummer, as I’ve logged in religiously to keep my “castle” for almost two years now.
Even bigger bummer that I kept everything of value, like my good weapons and armor in crates to protect them in case I died, which are all gone too.
Biggest bummer was I’m starving to death because the cases I stockpiled full of fish are gone, too.
So, just a request: when you publish the announcement in the login bulletin about extending the timers, please include a date for when the timers will be reset.
I’m sure you probably posted that somewhere, but the only messages I ever see are when I log in, so that’s where the decay reset date would be most helpful.
Of course, if the timer reset wasn’t retroactive - that is if the time lasted until the last time I looked at it in game SAID it would, that would be even better, but I’ll be happy with just knowing the date.
Back to mining iron.
