Nope!
You’re welcome.
Edit: I’ll craft both to double check but I’m pretty sure it listed iron.
And another one: Same mats as regular, but they are fast so people are going to lose their sh*t about it.

ok so they are a fast elevator but it uses the slow version materials to make?
haha,.
i can almost sense some people complaining its pay to win. XD
can you see if there is any level requirements?
edit, does it match well with stormglass? it might not be good for dark builds. if posible please share some screenshots to see how they match with the buidling styles …
thanks!

To be entirely fair, who in the cluck would purchase it if it was the slow version?
That’s like when new smithing stations are basic only, not exactly utile… and widely complained about.
While this one would prefer if it used the mats for it’s speed, this one isn’t going to lose any sleep over the matter.

Probably just the standard one, let me see if I have a baby character somewhere.
Cool, can craft fast elevator right off the start.
That would have been very handy earlier when scrolls were random.
Since you are required the same materials and the same previous achievement to access them ( you have to have the station to make them if you are not using admin), you essentially get them at the same time.

Level 19. The elevators themselves are kind of dark wood and curtains. I’ll share when I can.

Exactly, so many of the shop and BP items were or still are p2w.
People say Pay-to-Win as a “shiny word”, what does that even mean ?
Pay-to-Win what ? What is win ? Win what ?
Everything that does a certain thing requires the same material to be made. Even weapons, the bought weapons require the same materials to be done, and the most powerful weapons are not bought.
If something like the predatory blade was “buy only”, I would even concede that there is “pay to win”, but as it is, spending money in this game looking for any game mechanic advantage would be a stupid proposition.

I suppose it depends on one’s definition of ‘winning’. Fast Elevators are kind of a RNG recipe requiring a bit of an investment of Fragments of Power, or a significant investment in RNG on Siptah doing various activities there.
Or in this case… spend the crom coin to get them on any character on your account. Thus any new character instantly has access to them on any map forgoing any RNG grind of any sort.
What Funcom could have done here instead is allow two versions of the Aquilonian Elevators. The first one being normal speed and costing the same as normal ones. The other being a fast version but only is available when the recipe for fast elevators is uncovered.
This way those who purchase this item get what they paid for and are able to use them in their fast capacity without gaining any advantage over their fellow players.

To me any convenience, time-saving or power that you can pay for with real life money is pay to win.

And that is what makes you wrong. Pay for convenience and pay to win are clearly and obviously two different things.
Of course, nowadays people think words and concepts are what they think they are and not related to any reality.
But if one thinks “pay for convenience” is pay to win, ANYTHING paid is pay to win, even buying the very own game. So it is a “useless” assumption to make, and therefore, useless argument to respond.
I, for one, just ignore.

If the convenience allows you to achieve power faster or more easily compared to non-paying players, then it is pay to win. A concrete example is Path of Exile, where buying stash tabs is a convenience that massively helps with inventory management and trading. In a new Path of Exile league, players who don’t pay for all the good stash tabs are left behind in the race towards wealth or higher levels that a league represents.
Do you need more examples? Please explain rationally how this does not constitute pay to win to some degree, rather than using emotionally charged non-arguments.
Pay to Win implies that you are gaining some kind of advantage over other players that is not available to those players who do not pay/purchase from the game’s shop, primarily in a PVP environment.
The conveniences described here, fast elevators, are available for any basic player, once learned in the course of earning advancement of Knowledge in the game. Buying the Aquilonian elevators are a cosmetic upgrade and allow the basic utility of a Fast Elevator without having to grind time in pursuit of the plans. It’s not anything that allows a competitive advantage, particularly in any PVP contest, nor does it affect stats or bonuses that grant a PVE advantage. Calling this “Pay To WIn” is just silly and overreacting.
