I’ve been researching about this freeze issue that is occurring after the patch and found that usually on accounts that don’t have this issue, when they log into the server the other players are all muted, so I believe the crash is being caused by a error while trying to connect to the voice chat server perhaps due to an incompatibility with certain accounts or some account or game configuration. Remembering that this problem is not related to the person’s connection or hardware limitation as it is also occurring on the Ps5 and I myself have already tested playing on another account of a friend that was not freezing on his console and on mine also did not freezed.
Can confirm. I don’t have a freeze issue, and I have all the players muted when I log into the server.
I also noticed, then if a new player connects to the same server after me, I have them unmuted. But after a minute or so, they get muted anyway. And if I try to unmute anyone, next time I open the players list, they all are still muted.
I also think that this problem with the chat server is one of the reasons that is causing the game’s performance to drop, because on accounts that don’t have this problem the game seems to have much less rendering problems.
I can confirm: No freezing with all muted on my end.
I still have a bit of lag alone and some NPC teleporting during fights.
The rendering issue (Low res to High res with every step) introduced with 2.3 is still there.
So is there a way for me to disconnect from chat server? Or is it random do you think depending on ones account. I tried all of my alts on my ps5 and it does the same thing. My region is west coast America.
I do not have this problem, I play alone on single player.
It must be said however, that even without freezing and the rubber band problems you folks are experiencing, performance has dropped drastically for me since the patch; the game lags much more than it used to, and the sound delay is just terrible.
And there is freezing at times, just not every five seconds.
Overall this patch has done the complete opposite of what it was meant to.

It depends on something on the account, but I haven’t found what it is yet, what I do know is that main accounts with Ps Plus are more likely not to have this freezing problem.
I DO have the freeze issue and all players ARE muted because of the mute bug
Alright looks like correlation doesn’t imply causation for this bug.
I am playing with my alternate character non ps+ every one muted no problems we just had a purge killed all the bats on a private Siptah server no issues just throwing information out there for @Community maybe this will help. Good luck everyone.
Exactly, I have a friends account that has everyone muted and I am not experiencing the freeze issue but all of my other accounts , the players are unmuted and it freezes

this happens only on PC, the thing about voice chat, on PS4 its not the situation, because it happens on private hosts where the comunication occurs in other way, not on the voice chat of conan.
I’ve never saw that communications commands or voice chat, I have only the PS4 group, I only play the game with friends using that way to communicate. and I have too much lag even with that
