I used to play years ago but life and other games get in the way. Im thinking of returning but Id like to form up a weekly team to join me and figure out the game. Any takers Any questions any thoughts?
Join a cabal. There are several active ones that run daily and weekly activities, check Social window for recruitment (Shift - C). Agnitio is a good choice, ask Wolffspider in game for invite.

im thinking more like a team that works together on a weekly basis , that slowly goes through the game forming a tightknit group leveling up together
Not to rain on your parade, but most of the game’s story has been designed as a solo experience.
You can run the majority of missions in a group if that’s how you want to play. But if your goal is to run through the game from start to finish with a regular group of people you’re probably better off trying to recruit existing friends to play with you. Especially if you’re looking for first-timers.
Actual group play only really becomes prevalent once you reach the elite dungeon/raid levels.

Maybe 20% is forced solo? That number may be high. I’m not great at math.

population is pretty small the whole game is pretty much a tight nit group
you will find plenty of people that will be willing to help you as and when needed but what your asking for is a group of strangers to run constant content with you to become a tight nit group
that sort of thing happens organically by playing interacting with people joining a cabal etc you cant force it
hope you find what your looking for somewhere
