I don’t really want to weigh in on the whole pricing discussion, but as an old programmer, there’s some stuff here that grinds my gears.

Neither devs nor publishers charge by byte.

Spoken like someone who has never had to invent impossible ways to fit more features into the tiny space those machines had :wink:

Let’s just say that each of these had its own challenges.

There are many valid reasons why modern games cost a lot more, but “they take up more space” is not one of them.
