So curious, when renting a server for PS4 do you need a separate computer or what? How exactly does it work?
the point of renting from a hosting company is that you don’t need your own machine to run the server on it. you are using the hardware of the hosting company. when you rent one, at least for pc, you get access to a web page where you can configure the settings for your server, give it a name, set an admin password, etc., then that server appears in the list of available servers and you can connect to it normally.
Oh okay great! I wasnt too sure cause I was reading something (which im certain was for pc users) and it said you needed a separate computer for a server which wouldnt really make sense for console players but i mean you never know. Thanks for clearing it up!
