PSA: Legacy Siptah database conversion tools for UE5

Hey guys, I’ve seen several questions come up with in regards to whether or not Siptah saves from the Legacy game can be loaded up in the new game or not.

The answer is that while you can load them up, all your buildings will crumble, thralls will be in the wrong spots etc. because the world coordinates for Siptah have shifted.

To help with this, I made some tools that can convert your Siptah saves to work with the new game and preserve buildings etc. (be advised, modded building pieces would still be missing can could cause builds to collapse if the mod in question isn’t ported to UE5 yet when you load it up)

I also made a second tool that can take one of these newly converted Siptah databases and merge it with a Legacy Exiled Lands database, resulting in a save that has both regions intact.

The tools, being executables, are available in my modding discord server (link on any of my mods)

why you dont work for fc ? i mean funcom, seriiusly… at least i hope that internally they realize how bad the decision they did, was. it was probably to save money but has led to severe problem for the release (i mean the duping machine tool integrated…) and i m sure to more money wasted and time invested of players not respected (well some of the players only, situation who is even more dramatic and tell a lot)

that a day where we should celebrate, but that today a very bitter taste in the mouth sadly. they should never let this kind of things happen again. and well lets try to enjoy despite the bitter taste the incredible update that will be delivered today. @Dana

Xevyr, you wrote a tool to transplant Siptah bases!?

By Crom’s stinking balls, Funcom, subcontract this guy. All the Siptah drama could have been avoided if this had been publically known and used.

Umm.. yes! :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t know enough about programming for an informed opinion on how awesome that is, but for my stupid yes, it looks like devil magic - in a good way.

If it also adds an additional mini map, it would be even awesomerer, but I guess it’s great enough as is.

Funcom, seriously… we love your work, but use the opportunities at hand. Modders like Xevyr (and many others) do so much for your product, and could do even more.

I know, I know. Just joking.

Yea, I know :joy: I was linking you the new UE5 one though lol
