Purchasing the game through GOG please

I don’t pretend to understand all the regulations or laws for video game distribution (or maybe it is a financial issue) but I would be very grateful if I could purchase Conan Exiles through GOG (google it if you do not know what I am talking about) rather than STEAM. GOG is a DRM-free provider where as STEAM is not. For anyone that does not know what I am talking about, to sum it all up, purchase a game through GOG and you actually own said game even if the company went bankrupt and disappeared overnight (as long as you have installed it), STEAM owns any game you purchase through them and if they suddenly disappeared (and you were not in offline mode I think that was the exception?) you would have lost access to all the games you purchased through STEAM. Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things but I do like to actually own the games I buy and install and it never hurts to be available on more platforms, just a friendly suggestion. Thank you very much for listening.

Gamez are not purchased “through” GOG. It buys copyright for old gamez, removes DRM from its own intellectual property, fine-tunes it to run on newer computers and then sells or gives it to everybody. No one would sell copyright for a new and popular game.

GOG also acts as a release platform for new games these days. Not all of them, of course, because some game publishers want their players to use their own platform (e.g. Origin) and/or keep the DRM.

That said, even though cross-platform gaming between GOG and a Steam is possible, I don’t know whether GOG could support mods from the Steam Workshop, so we might end up with yet another platform which doesn’t play well with others - in this case, PC (Steam) vs. PC (GOG).
