Purge mechanics abuse in PVE 2.0

I recently made a topic here on the forum talking about bug exploitation about the new purge, recently me and some friends from the official server did a serious investigation, and we managed to catch 3 secondary “bug explorer” accounts, we made videos, photos and everything that incriminates him, including on one of the secondary accounts he left 2 of his followers visible, and that these people have a clan on the server, could any ADMIN do something about it? because I have incriminating material against him, but they are all secondary accounts, the clan behind this takes advantage of both the legal and the illegal side, on the legal side he makes complaints to funcom about constructions that do not comply with the rules, and on the illegal side uses secondary accounts to call purge and destroy people’s buildings with demolishers and bomb head golems… PVE/PVE-C is living dark days, making many discouraged, it seems that these types of people want the server just for themselves, because they are attacking the oldest people on the server, Conan Exiles is experiencing a sad scenario

Is using the Purge to harm other people’s bases actually against the rules, strictly speaking? I can see that falling under “using gameplay mechanics in an unintended manner aka exploits”, but that’s a very, very vague concept.

It’s like I said, it’s an abuse of the game’s mechanics, I have a lot of incriminating material against this player and his fake accounts, but it looks like it will stay that way, nowadays you can’t count on administration anymore, unfortunately blood will be paid with blood.

Never any direction from Funcom about this of course. Probably never would get it either.

I think it’s fair for most to assume it is unintended.

On PVP it would be inconsequential to the whole.

On PVE/PVE-C, it’s opposite of what is expected to provide in engagement with other players.

I just said that I have a lot of incriminating evidence against a person, and that he uses 3 fake accounts, did you really read it?

I was replying to Kapoteeni.

Although I haven’t asked yet, did you put in a Zendesk ticket?

:brazil: pve pve-c @Community

There’s a legit way to prevent this on PvE Officials. It probably works on PvE-C as well.

It’s probably a self entitled PvP’er who is doing this to you.

I’ll DM you with how to stop it.

What is the legit way? Posting it here could help others in preventing being exploited on.

This isn’t really new. I remember some people used to use the old purge (the one that randomly triggers one day if you have built enough stuff) and simply take the aggro of the attackers and bait them to a neighboring base, climb onto the base, and they just destroy another base that isn’t the target of the purge. And all this would work in PvE servers too.

Simple fix would have been to disable the purge from damaging structures that don’t belong to the targeted clan. I’m surprised this is still a thing after so many years lol

It just happened to me, but I couldn’t see where they could have had the purge camp spawn in order to do that. I logged in with Purge Demolishers and a player just standing there taking all my clans stuff.

There were three times on PVE servers 2502 and 2586 that I had teleportal stones open for public use, and dancers nearby to remove corruption. Three Dancers were killed by purges clans had spawned in, even if there were no bases anywhere near the teleportal stone outposts. People were just being d-bags and using the purge to kill Dancers. I had to start trapping dancers inside stormglass frames and ceiling tiles over them.

It just seems petty to me. Why do that to peoples hard work?

Yes. What I’m asking is, is what the person is doing actually against the rules? Because no amount of “incriminating evidence” is going to help you if what they are doing is not actually illegal.

Just because you don’t like it, and because it’s hurting you, doesn’t mean it’s illegal. Maybe it should be, but like I said, it’s a grey area.

I think what will hurt their case the most is that having alts isn’t a violation - they seem very focused on that.

“using the Purge to harm other people’s bases” and use it to kill other people’s thralls too

This is a very sad problem. You are not safe in pve. It’s a big problem. I also harmed my neighbor before because of this new purge. I summoned lvl 3 to try it out. The terrain of the harness remained within the base that set up the structures and minions. :open_mouth: I panicked. The crisis is very big crisis  Luckily it was only 3 lvl and I immediately took my best slave and went inside the camp, I finished with both his slaves and mine and nexus arrow. but structure damage and slave lost. :frowning: cristal golem lost berserker lost reason armor was just visual di sets were bad.

People can equip sets just for visuals in pve. and they place him among other animals or slaves who will protect him. But this purge separates the strong from the weak. My neighbor wasn’t even in the game, I did my best and still couldn’t achieve 0 damage :frowning: While this thing causes problems even by accident, is it 7 lvl, 8 lvl and intentional damage? PVEs are not safe. When I realized this, I immediately thought of a solution.

Bird’s nest tactic  yes, it has no connection with the ground. which can only be reached by climbing. and making a base in a place with a large distance from the ground. Making a 2 stage elevator. They can put the golem on a single elevator and take it up. But 2 is very difficult. I have already placed very strong guards with guns in front of the elevator upstairs. If a golem comes out of the elevator, it will die right there, explode and the elevator will collapse  When I enter the game, I will rebuild an elevator.

There are actually 2 solutions. 1- Bird’s nest tactic. 2- It is built in water but away from land. Provided that there is no connection to the land or a bridge.

I just want to state in advance that I am 100% against Purges being used as a destructive force against PvE builds.

If anyone implies that they support the destruction of PvE builds on a PvE server, they can kiss :kissing_heart: my A**.

On the Official I play on we experienced this and we all banded together and put a stop to it.

Definitely helps having a Discord Server for the official made up of players on that specific official. It helped us come up with a plan to prevent the destruction of our bases.
