Purge Trigger Questions on pc - multiplayer PvE-C server

I know that this issue has been discussed in number of areas…but after reading many many conflicting posts hat are mostly outdated, i was hoping to get some updated info.

is purge just flat out buggy?

As admin and owner of the server - purge works great on my clan. I can even trigger it on our own clan through console BUT the other clans and solo players in server do not get purged despite full meters and i cannot trigger it for them through console, even when i empty my clans meter, fill the other clans meters and “start new phase” command.

All setting on server are correct to trigger. It just will not trigger (by itself or through console) for anyone else except for MY clan.

Any ideas?

tell them to make sure they have their bed (the activated one) in the base they want to be purged at, then tell them to move a bit on the map in order to do other stuff, when they will come back to their base later on there is good chance the purge will triger. It’s actually just a matter of getting out of your base cell, but the furthest and the longest, the better.
it worked for me and other friends evrey single time , but it can sometimes not happen right away although it should normally.

Thanks for the feedback. Any other thoughts on how the purge chooses which ‘base’ of a clan it attacks? Doesn’t seem to be any consistency, which I would hope it’s random so people can’t cheese the system. Thoughts?

The major problem with the Purge is that any player or clan who was ever on the server was eligible for a Purge. When they were “chosen” and the game found no base it would fail. A “base” is a single foundation piece. I think Niantic fixed this on PC but I’m not 100%.

I’ve never tried to trigger a Purge as an admin so I can’t say much on your situation but maybe what I know helps. You could try having the clan put down a new foundation somewhere and see if that triggers a Purge.

it should choose the base were your bed is activated. Please be kind and confirm it when you can, since it’s only a theory.

So, I know for sure that the purge has chosen one of my bases where I was not bound to a bed… may need to rework this theory. I’ve been hit by a purge at two different base locations, one of which does not have a bed or bed roll. If I can add more info on my observations I’ll try to respond.

Really FC just needs to come out and be transparent about the purge parameters and how it works.
